my advice would be for you to think of your current bf/gf..you love her/him and he/she loves you back..don't let your heart influence your mind over some long lost old love...try imagining the scene if it were ur current bf/gf in your situation..BUT the question is: does this long lost love of yours to whom you have some feelings HAVE the same feeling as yours

Well, your story is so vague, (are you still communicating, friends, etc...) Heres an advise base on what is posted.

Sometimes we have to use our minds over our hearts when our feelings get too strong. When we think with our hearts, loving means clinging on when what we really need to do is let go, even if we still want to hold on. We have to realize that having the ability to reach something doesn’t always give us the privilege to have it.

It is sometimes unfortunate that the people we love choose not to love us back. Your life should not be dependent on someone else's presence. You should stop missing and start thinking about what you have been missing.

well had that experience once..
he was my first bf..saw him after a 2-3 years i think..
just raised my brows, deadma, ignored him totally..
y the reaction?..he cheated on me..thats y we broke up..
hated him for years but deep inside i was still in love with him..
so it was like a head over heart situation..

my ex is way better with samurai showdown (it's an arcade game for those who live in caves) now than before... when we used to date.

i'm really sorry bec. i can't seem to imagine myself falling for my ex bec. we have dealt with it, that we're just plain friends and.. i love my bf so much..

probably your ex was more attractive now after some yrs. and you think you fell for him when in fact it's just infatuation and the past came haunting back to you?? get over with it!

btw, is he trying to court you (seriously) again bec. if so, might as well weigh things and give it some thinking girl..

if there are things that need to be compromise.. see him/her discreetly.. discuss the thngs you want to settle up with him/her.. tell him/her you do still love him/her.. don't expect him/her to answer.. just say it squarely in to her/his face..if her/his love have completely swept away from you.. so be it. acceptance is the right thing to move on..

been there, done that....told that person that i still have feelings for him but kutob ra dha...atleast naka sulti nako nga naa gihapon koy feelings para nya...am just satisfied with the idea nga kabalo sya...il just love him from afar...i have let go of him coz he has his own life now with somebody else and as for me, am happy kung unsa ko karon ug kinsa naa nako karon...
