Avr- definitly.. f u love ur computer and dont wana reinstall ur windows(maka guba man gud ang unregulated power sa software n hardware)
Ups- f u got xtra money( my opinion lng.. d man gud tah permi brownout sa cebu)^_^

better buy a ups/Avr..meaning it act both as an avr n ups..
try APC..naa sa pcx... f mahalan ra ka try ablerex..try to check sa truevalue or ace sa avr.. not so familiar sa brand now.. m using Nippo..pero closed na ang company making this.. been using this since my Pentium 100mhz days.. mga 10yrs + na ni^_^ out live 4 computer na ni^_^heheheh

The only problem are the batteries... they wont last long. I had MANY UPS, from 2500 pesos to 6000 pesos and not ONE battery survived for more then a year...

not ONE battery survived for more than a year...

sounds to me like:
1. ups might be a little under-rated for your application(s).
2. too many power outages at your site? (you're using an off-line or on-line ups?)
3. questionable ups/battery quality

i agree.. ideal battery maintainance... discharge ur bat once every 1-2months so that ur battery would last longer.. f wid proper care n maintaince ideal battery life is 2yrs+.. i am selling the battery for ups.. just cal me 2542120 ryan lim..let me know u got my number from this site pra i could give u a discount..1pm-4pm..^_^

No, its a 1000W UPS, and the equipment was just 500W max.

No, its Maria Luisa Park here, we have barely brown outs.

Thats what I meant, the batteries are all crap... low quality. I have still 2 UPS standing here with the same battery issue... one year, then patay. And one UPS was 4800 Pesos...

I guess, I will go the way with 2 car batteries and an inverter and a little electronic...
