SCSI HD and IDE HD

hope somebody could help me with this problem.. our IBM server has a SCSI harddisk. someone wants to add an IDE harddisk. the bios can detect the ide harddisk. problem is, it looks for the os on the ide harddisk(which doesn't have one). so, it's a boot failure. how do i make the scsi harddisk be the source of the os? i dont see any option for changing the boot priority at bios setup. it's my first time to handle this type of thing..

naa man tingali na sa bios. try pod disable boot hard disk, disable boot floppy, disable boot cdrom. but enable other device. try lang. dili pod ko sure. sauna, ni boot ba ang scsi wala pa ang ide? lain-lain pag set nga boot 1st sa scsi, depende sa bios.

wala na sa boot priority bro, i think sa advance settings man siguro na.. pangita a lang naa to option didto na asa una mo detect ang scsi ba or ang IDE(or something like that). try to look around lang kay kita ko ana sa una when im configuring the ibm xseries 225. i don't know with the other model but im sure there is.

mo boot ang scsi basta dili connected akong ide. IBM xSeries 206 diay ni mga bro.. lahi raman diay ni ang bios ani noh compared sa mga desktop pc.. nangita pako ron sa documentation cd sa server..

if usa ra ka scsi hard disk ang naka attach sa server, dapat na cya ma primary master? or naa pako i-set sa jumpers? kay ang ma display sa bios kay primary slave cya.. thanks for any replies :mrgreen:
