24-105mm f4L - P46k
24-70 f2.8L - P50k (on sale now)
Only P4k differential...
Go for 2.8L nalang before it goes back to its regular price
me 2.8L
Go for the 24-105mm. It has the IS and a longer range. From what I've heard, it's a newer model compared to the 24-70.
for me... f2.8 opening is not enough... so ill stick with 2.8.. steady hands lang importante.. heheh...

EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

3.3" x 4.9", 2.1 lbs. / 83.2mm x 123.5mm, 950g
murag bug-at jud ni ang 24-70mm dah...
keep it coming guys...I really need a lot of inputs.
thank you
2.8 is helpful in lowlight. but with noise reduction in today's models you can still just
bump up the iso and still get usable images.
but unless you want the shallow depth of field of the 2.8 I'd rather go for the
longer reach and IS capability of the 24-105. you won't have to change so
often for longer focal lengths and my hands aren't as steady as the use to be
during shoot-on-the-fly situations![]()
i've tried both lenses, i prefer the 24-70 2.8L in terms of sharpness, color contrast....and yeah I own a 24-70..
Weight? 24-70 is heavy... range is pretty good with a 1.3x or a full frame sensor. Both lenses are NOT wide enough for 1.6x cropped sensors (24mm x 1.6 = 38mm equivalent). Even with my 1.3x crop, i change lens to 16-35 sometimes to get a wider shot. About ZOOM range... hmm.. for me the best ZOOM would be our legs... heheh...
best one to buy? = YOUR choice... these comments won't help you in the end bro...trust me... LOL!
I only have the 24-70. Lingaw kaayo ko ani nga lens.
I have also tried the 24-105 but i still like the 24-70 better.
a friend sold his 24-70 when he got his 24-105 because he found the 24-70 heavier. after a few months of the 24-105, he purchased another 24-70.
he said he missed its feel and sharpness and contrast and, yes, color rendition. he did not even say he missed the wider aperture.
get the 24-70 and use your legs for additional zoom. your pictures would be much better that way.
