Any Mid-Highend headset users here?

Im looking for a good Mid-Highend headset for my gaming and movie needs, Im planning to getting either the Zalman 5.1 or the Phillips SHP8500, maybe someone can recommend a better headset that is locally purchasable ?

Currently using a TDK MP100 bought from CD-R King. I'm no "audiophile" though. Sorry if I could'nt contribute that much.

Boss is good. I dont really dig 5.1 sa headphones, coz dili kaayo nako ma feel ang pagka 5.1, but if you can get the zalman, they have good reviews. I use my Jabra BT620 bluetooth stereo headset, wireless for me is more important than 5.1

Well there really isnt any 5.1 headset, its just a marketing gimmick, Bose is extremely over priced and over rated.

dunno how you guys would define high-end, but i got this logitech headset which costs about 1.2k 3 years ago. it has a really good bass sound although i dont think its 2.1. dont know the model tho because it doesnt have any markings in it aside from the brand. i saw one that looks exactly like it @ hp in sm for about 800 petot. one good thing i like about it aside from the sound quality is that it doesnt 'hurt' my ears after using it for hours..unlike some other headsets which 'hurts' my ears after listening for a while even with the volume turned low

Those headsets are over rated.


I got a chance to audition a friends headset, both his sennheiser and plantronics the latter costs 1/3 less and sounds exactly the same.

As for logitech they use similar micro drives with the zalman 5.1 the only difference is that zalman comes in 6 drives instead of 2..

I might either get the plantronics or phillips.
