Default What I learned In My Job.

This is what I learned in my job

Fascination lasts for only two weeks.

I meet new people. Be with them for two weeks. Learn their quirks. Get fascinated. Get addicted.

Day 10 comes. It is all gone. What lingers? Fascination. Ex Fascination.

How bout you, what have you learned in your job?
"JUST A WOMAN? Oh honey no!

I am awesome with a splash of bitch and a dash of wonderful.

cool thread...

in my job, i learned that when you want to climb to the top of the corporate ladder, you don't use a ladder. You need a rope and u can only do that by licking the as* of the one who holds that rope so that hopefully, you will be yanked from the very pits of corporate slavery and become big time in a jiffy w/out sweating it out.

++in my job, i learned better to be more diligent and more conscious of time. i actually learned the value of 15 minutes! hahaha... seldom did it matter to me before but now, i cherish the moment of having my 15-minute break! hehehe...

++things shouldnt be taken for granted. this is my first real job. never have i felt the effect of the economy's condition in a serious way but now, god, the fare increase was like a huge chunk cut off my wage.

++people are people. they're all unique.

kapoy jud...

my realizations:

- that what we basically worked for how many years in school can't be totally use in real business
(it's good if you could apply at least 50% if it! )

- that being a student is the best profession ever ( imagine you still get to have your allowance even
if you don't have classes )

- that management can just drop you out like a hot potato even without justification whatsoever!

- that real business "substance over form" resembles a jungle.. survival of the fittest!

- that there is indeed an elevator to success.. you just have to swallow your principles and let
management treat you like a first class idiot.

- that most of the time practicality prevails over what is just!

things i've learned:
- to compromise
- to perseverance
- to be assertive
- to stand at what i believed in
- to make excuses
- to mingle with people of varied personalities
- in rare cases, act like somebody with an attention span of an 8 year old kid!

I've learned that the lessons from the flying geese are true:

 As each goose flaps its wings it creates an UPLIFT to the gesse that follow
 By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock add 71 percent extra flying range
Lesson: People who share a sense of community can help each other get where they are going
more easily... because they are travelling on the TRUST of one another.

 Whe a goose falls out of formation it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone
 It quickly moves back to take advantage of the lifting power of the geese in front.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as geese we stay in formation with those HEADED where
we want to go. We are willing to accept their HELP and GIVE our help to others...

 When the lead goose tires it drops back into the formation and ANOTHER goose flies to the point position.
Lesson: It pays to TAKE TURNS doing the hard tasks. We should RESPECT and PROTECT each others' unique arrangement of SKILLS, capabilities, talents and resources.

 The geese flying in formation HONK to encourage those up front to keep up with their speed.
Lesson: We need to make sure our honking is ENCOURAGING. In groups where there is encouragement, PRODUCTION is much greater. Individual empowerment results from QUALITY honking.

 When a goose gets sick, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it.
Lesson: If we have much sense as geese, we will STAND by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.

HONK HONK :toink: :toink:
