What now Mr. Palengke?
This is just an observation of what’s happening around me. I remember when Sen. Mar Roxas was running; he presented himself as a solution to the ordinary members of our society to be protected of what they can afford, which is not something new anymore. He called himself Mr. Palengke, but before that idea came up these are the basic pricelist of the basic food of necessity that only can afford every household including mine:
BASIC FOOD BASIC PRICE TODAY’S PRICE MARKED UP PRICE
Kamatis (Tomato) 1.00 PHP 2.00 PHP 1.00 PHP
Bawang (Garlic) 2.50 PHP 3.50 PHP 1.00 PHP
Sibuyas (Onion) 1.50 PHP 2.50 PHP 1.00 PHP
A light that will smoothen the way to the marketplace where the words of the prophet were simple and plain and where messiahs are true with words and pledges they kept. A marketplace where there is also deaf and mute those fiddle the flutes but nobody dance, reached the place that never let him return to the old same marketplace.
Mr. Palengke reached where he is now. Because of so many votes he got from people regardless of being fooled or believers of the same conviction he’d danced with in the market marketable strategy and put him on top as number 1, what now Mr. Palengke?
