read up^ again please.Â* if you will really analyze the whole scenario there is a problem in all aspects:

the industry - too much freedom, the companies are competing but at the same time conspiring, no definite guidelines and too many loopholes, they are one big syndicate and the government is closing their eyes because the directors/owners are one of their biggest lobbyists.

the policies - there are policies that works one way, some are unlawful and some are not policies but are unfair common practice.

the implementors/superiors - they are tolerated because they are pro-company

who stands to gain?Â* Â*the management

who are the puppets?Â*Â* the supervisors & managers

who stands to lose?Â* Â*production, the bottom-dwellers/the agents, they do all the work beneath all of these. tsk!3

not all but some agents that will become supervisors will pay this wrath forward to their future agents.Â* definitely, not a good motivation. it's like i should strive to be a supe one day to get out of this bondage and once they are already there they have no choice but to implement the policies that they very much hate because if they will strive for change the system will eat them.

i'm sorry for the confusion, what i meant is that the policy exists, i mean it's there but i was not directly involved or was not the one who broke "their" policy. Â* the majority should have opposed to that policy and the people who was directly affected by that policy or practice should have fought back in court.
if you were an employee of that center and their is a policy which you think is unlawful, then I believe you can fight for it, bec. you are under that policy.

if you believe that there are unlawful practices. file your case in court. that is the only venue to raise such issues.

every private company stands for their gain (profit) and you have to accept it and we employees are paid for our services rendered to them. the best way not to be exploited is to make a business of your own and hopefully you will not exploit your employees.

exactly, that's where I am at.Â* my colleagues know this and they even said they envy my state but i pity them.Â* that's not how ninoy perceived it, btw. it's a case of boot up, shut up or get out. that's the reason i chose to get out & booted up but definitely will not shut up for the sake of my ex-colleagues and to the other employees they treated unfairly.

i am not bitter with what happened to me. this is just my past time and recreation. it's just that if i hear they are still at it again and again, i can't help but talk about it and expose them.Â* at least they know that someone is watching and knows their every move from inside & out.Â* Â*...and is just waiting for them to commit one major mistake actually they already did but it did not personally involve me so i was not privy to that.

IT IS ENOUGH FOR ME TO KNOW THAT THE LABOR UNIONS ARE WATCHING.Â* I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE THE ONE TAPPING "PARENG ERNEST".Â* I'LL LET NATURE RUN ITS COURSE.Â* IT'S JUST MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY BURN SOMEBODY AGAIN AND IT WILL SNOWBALL FROM THERE...Â* the thing is, they only do that to the push-overs but i know that they will still commit the same mistake this time to the wrong individual.

because it needed mass action and most of the people are scared because they do not have as many options as i have.Â* mga kaluluoy lagi!

this almost happened in one department, the unfortunate thing is that the potential people to lead them were gotten rid off first. so they ended up in a mass resignation na lang. hapit na gyud unta to, sayang lagi!

why do you think all these call center operators or BPO moved here?

Because US labor laws are very stringent and also very clear

They get sued by their US employees very quickly.....

Maybe hiring a US customer service representative would cost more.. but they moved out of the USA to escape paying health insurance, pension, commuting allowance, overtime pay, labor disputes, lawsuits from American employees etc....

Here they can practically do whatever they want and they are not subject to US labor regulations....... THAT is the reason of OUTSOURCING.... to ESCAPE from US labor regulations......

    But regarding security issues....

I think TOMMY OSMENA is looking at it.....

The South Reclamation Properties can provide both an Office space and Dormitories or Living Quarters as well with security it will trully be a Call centetr Park....

Right now I.T. park in lahug.... its becoming a headache to find an apartment or a pad.....

i believe an individual can file a complaint against an employer... but can you give an example of an unlawful practice/policy you are referring to?

you know, what dili man diay na nahitabo nimo. Sa uban man diay, though I admire you for sympathizing with thier plight. But you know what? The first thing that they could have done, wla man diay ka'y labot was to go to NLRC. We have a very pro labor government. Ask any HR/Labor practitioner about that, almost 80 to 90 percent of cases filed against employers ang nakadaog pirmi is the complainant. While you're at it, if you really wanted change the system then it would have been better if you are still part of the system instead of complaining sa gawas.

You mentioned that we need mass action, not just inside the call centers but in our country. I AGREE to a point. Short of having a bloody revolution, that's what this country need to reform itself. And then what after? Some socialist/communist, "real democratic" fighters take over our government, then 50 years from now, we would all revert to capitalism just like China.

Sorry ha, I'm blabbing but I know what you're pointing out so might as well put it on the table. I also don't understand why you resigned, is it because dili nimo ma take ang system?

Advise lang you can only be responsible for your own life, not of others. So kung happy ka wherever you are, then good for you. I used to think like you too, make a big, big, difference. Maybe even join the the commies up the mountains. But I've realized for what? After 30 years of fighting, I'll be an old soldier of sadly could be a lost cost. (Mura'g layo na ni sa topic).

It's every employees right to form a UNION, bisan unsa pa nang ibutang sa contract nga dili puede. Though I believe reasonable enough man ning mga call centers, IF ONLY THESE EMPLOYEES WILL SPEAK OUT TO MANAGEMENT. I always believe in negotation. MAG RALLY KA, WALK OUT. In the end cerado, company, cerado call center, KITA TANAN WALA'y TRABAHO.
