What truth?
do you know exactly what the christians are looking for? Majority of this worlds population are christians and yet they are still looking for truth... truth is in the bible? How true is that? Are you absolutely and positively true that the truth is in the bible? Naa man gani nga t-shirt that says... "Jesus is the answer..." - what was the question in the first place?

If the DNA is really jesus' DNA, my guess would be that this will be hidden out from the public... why? magkagubot.

if proven that one of those remains points to Jesus, then the explanation for the possibility of the spiritual ascension would be raised.
is it in any way affecting everybody's faith?

@rcruman: so the bible can sometimes be taken literally...? and you're an authority on what passage in the bible to take literally and what passage to take spiritually? or bout2x ra na nimo to suit your personal belief as well as your defense?

besides, the passage that u got from the bible seems to point to a conclusion that jesus transcended the flesh when he ascended... meaning it was a spiritual ascension... meaning he left his physical body to rot like everybody else...

Correct me if I'm wrong, this is what I've understood in the video of the press conference about the Lost Tomb of Jesus. There are 10 ossuaries (small limestone coffins) found and believed to be the family of Jesus. All the ossuaries has Aramain incriptions of Jesus, Son of Joseph, Maria, Matthew, "Jose" - presumably a nickname for Jesus' brother - and in Greek, "Miriamene" for Mary Magdalene, Judah their son and others.

The DNA test that they got from the tomb of Jesus is not used to prove that He is Jesus because it could not be done. Jesus has no DNA record 2000 years ago. They just rely on the incriptions of the ossuaries that it belongs to Jesus. To prove that they get a professor of Mathematics to compute a probability of the name that belongs to Jesus Christ. And it comes out that there is 1:600 probability.

What they are going to do with the DNA testing? They will use that DNA to prove that Jesus is maried to Mary Magdalene and that their son is Judah. How they do that? They get the DNA sample from the ossuary of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and Judah. They found out that the DNA of Jesus and Mary Magdalene does not match thus make them to conclude that Jesus and Mary Magdalene has no blood relation and that they could be possibly husband and wife. When they compare the DNA of Jesus and Mary Magdalene against the DNA of Judah it comes out that it matches. So therefore they conclude that Jesus and Mary Magdalene are maried and that their son is Judah.


So, what they are after is that they want to generate concrete evidence to support the Davince Code, that Jesus has relationship to Mary Magdalene and had a son.

I just wonder how could these hi-tech people just rely only on the incriptions of the names. Their basis is too shallow to conclude that it belongs to Jesus.
