walay kuti boss.. but it turned out that the one in charge of new accounts kai neighbor diay sila sa ako wife so wala na ko niya gipa interview sa manager, siya na mismo ni release sa ako checkbook. the normal process is moagi pa man ka sa manager i think mangutana ra ang manager if unsa purpose why you opened a checking account.

i also called malayan bank coz someone told me dili pud daw kuti mo open sa ilaha.. i was told by the person i talked to on the phone na 3k daw ang opening balance and 1k ang maintaining balance. but i opted to go with BPI family savings kai naa man ko atm account nila gud so sayop ra nako pag transfer ug funds from my atm account to the checking account which is through bpi express online, i dont need to go to the bank every month para mg deposit ug money sa ako checking account...

If you aim for lower maintaining balance, go to saving banks such as BPI Savings, RCBC Savings, Chinabank. I think for RCBC Savings kay P2.5k. I think the three are just the same.

just don't go to commercial banks like BPI, BDO, Metrobank, Unionbank, RCBC. They will ask for P10k maintaining balance, although BDO is just P5k, maybe to compete with others.

Then if you don't want to be sued kay wala na sulod emu account better to go to saving banks.

    Chinabank Savings.

Requirements kay dapat you have a savings account sa bank for 6 months. 2 valid IDs. If wala savings account for 6 months, interviewhon sa manager unsay gamit sa imo checking account. Don't worry about the interview para raman sad sa security both sa client and sa bank.

Malayan bank kay wala sad kuti. But you need to open both current and savings account. 1k sa current then 2k sa savings. You can just close the savings account afterwards if current ra imo need.

Currently,I'm using PNB Budget checking 2,500 opening and maintaining pero pre-requisite nga naa kay existing account nila bro.

Both banks have online facility for checking accounts para mamonitor nimo ang imo statement.

PNB and Allied will soon to be merged
and soon to be BPI too if ma-approved ang merger talk....so PNB + Allied + BPI = BPI (biggest bank by then)
