Bro I agree with what you said but because MEDIA loves to OVERSHADOWS and OVERIDES anything and everything that benefits them defeats the purpose and by that purpose , just because we dont see it and hear it doesnt mean nothing happened .

Spring: we all know that media likes to color things pero what they write is not without substance sab. Maybe some stories are embelished pero the core of the story is not entirely fabricated out of thin air kay dili gyud na sila ma headline ug walay rason ma headline. Ug mo balita sila na someone died during the initiation/hazing ritual, someone really did die during the ritual. Pero gamay ra nang butanga. Kinahanglan gyud na usbon ang mga practices sa mga Fraternities. Especially kanang mga pataka lang ug dawat ug mga pledgees.

Kanang gang-like nature sa mga FRAT sa ato, dugay naman kaayo na, highschool pa ko mao nana ilang mga kalaki (and highschool was 17 years ago)... pero wa gihapon na ma usab kay THE FRATERNITY itself refuses to change.. kay ug ganahan lang gyud na sila ma usab, hagbay ra unta na nahitabo. Look - some of these Fraternities have members nga naa pa sa ELEMENTARY. 12-13 year old nya frat/gang member na. Pwede ba na?

I cant relate to a GANGSTER's STORY because I am a FRATMAN . Regarding FRATERNITIES today , yes indeed naay dakong kausaban . Its just that the public didnt know about it because the MEDIA did not pay tribute to it because it doesnt sell . Honestly ... to an average Juan , would he read a headline that says AKRHO FEEDING PROGRAM : 500 unfortunate , orphaned and streetchildren nabusog sulod sa BANILAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL or the dreaded AKRHO : Gi execute ang 10 ka TAU GAMMA PHI members whom at first hand , they dont even know if those subjects are FRATMEN but because of the nature kay batan-on , nahimong AKRHO or TGP dayon . IT happened so many times , ma wrong spelling man gani nila ang AKRHO to AKRO / AKHRO much more identifying one ?

And we have a great calender this oct, nov, and dec. and next year.

to start of.. oct. we were given by Barangay Apas Captain Ramil Ayuman the special task to make sure Peace and Ordinance and Traffic are well watch... in other words we are the MARSHALS this coming October 27 and 28 for the upcoming fiesta in our barangay.

nov.. we will be having a Medical Mission with the barangay official

and dec. we will have a PASKO ng AKRHO in our barangay..

and by the 1st week of January we will be plotting our list of actives and projects for the year of 2009.

pero all im saying dili bad ang tanan fraternities. naa lay uban chapters na dili ka regulate sa ilang members. dili i abolish i regulate lang gyud - naay sanctions within each groups.

SPRING: You are one of those Fraternity brothers that acts like how one should... hopefully ingon ana tanan. Pero in most cases dili naman gud ingon ana ang mga membro. Again - pang GANG na gyud ang ilang mga lihok and that should be fixed. It's been going on like that for over a decade - something has to be done and it has to be done from within and immediately. I bet some of these frat members have never seen their fraternity rules and by-laws.

It's good to hear that some Fraternities are actually doing something good to the public like your Feeding Program and things like these should be lauded. Pero don't be disappointed if such deeds doesn't show in the papers `cause your not doing it for the recognition diba? These are things that fraternities are supposed to be doing instead of gang-like related crimes.
