And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee."

Why does it say nga "Evil", unya Lord baya, naa diay evil spirit si Lord? I love the Lord with all my heart and I am a Christian. I don't question the authenticity of the Bible, but maybe lahi lng akong pagsabot ba or pagka interpret.
    My take:

The original Hebrew text is rā·‘āh, based sa pagka construct sa sentence, mao ni ang meaning niya nga akong na utingkay:
-bad, unpleasant, giving pain, unhappiness, misery: evil days (of trial and hardship)...

Plus, ang pagkasulti is dili pa jud Quoted from God but narrated by a person who observed what happen. So ang naka kita maoy nag describe based sa iyang words nga gigamit. Now, sa panahon sa Old/New, kana mga sakit sakit nga bation sa tawo was considered works of Demons or Evil man na. So mao iyang na observe, nya based sa iyang current belief maoy iyang nasulti.

Gipangutana nako ni sa among pastor and he answered me with this:

1.) the spirit idea was not fully developed yet
2.) it was a literary device that the author used practical to their days
3.) permission by God, the evil spirit was allowed.
    4.) combination of above

In our present scientific understanding, we have a different theology of the Spirit world contrasted to the world of the author, satan = evil spirit, the theology of the author's day was that nothing evil can work unless God allowed.

    ------------------------------------------------------

For me, the evil spirit did not come from God nor was sent by Him but He allowed the evil spirit to torment Saul. It was literary an evil spirit. It could be something bad will happen or just a feeling.

Just like the plague in Egypt, God allowed the Angel of death to punish the Egyptians. Same thing sa story ni Job, God allowed satan to persecute Job to test his faith.
