data loss is high to flash drives (memory based) when unplugged without being unmounted. For mobile drives, considering that it is a disk based storage device, data loss is minimal. Though the possibility of getting a spike that would eventually damage the disk is still apparent.
taking out the flash drive without setting the safely remove process is wla man effect siguro...i have been doing nga ibuton lng daun ang akong flash drive nga 1gig twinmos without clicking the safely remove flash drive...wlay man jpun nadaot akong flash drive...mga 5months na naku na ginabuhat...wla man nadaot...![]()

try to figure out first if whether it's a data or physical damage or perhaps the problem is with the computer you're plugging it in..
if you're flash drive has a lead indicator then check it first.. if it does then try right click on "Your Computer" & choose "Manage" then go into the disk manager.. see if the flashdisk appears there.. if it does, see if you can assign it a letter..
if you use NTFS on your partitions, you could even choose to mount the flashdisk under a directory rather then give it a drive letter..
@cebu_tux : mao bah bai...well cge try nlang nku nga buhaton na nga steps...kay usahay man gud tapulan nka clik especially kng gdali ka..ibut nlang daun...heheheh..![]()
unpulging usb flash drives w/out unmounting through the safely remove feature wont damage the flash drive. just check if the usb drive u are plugging it in is not damage, coz damaged usb ports is common among clone computers
sa win98 warag it need to safely remove hardware, sa winXP/2k no need basta iclose lng ang window/folder para dili gaaccess ang USB flash drive....
