my usb flash drive

hello guys :

i need advice my usb flash drive doesnt work anymore after i inserted it in an internet coffee 3rd floor at magno square. when i transferred to antoher internet coffee still doesnt work. I was inform by pc shop it might have SHORT CIRCUIT.

pls advice any thing to do about it ? i have all my files in it. HELP

Try to use your Flash drive to another PC. The problem might be both PC you are using.
The only way to damage ur flash drive is when you take it off without taking it off safety. When removing your flash drive you have to remove it safety. how? Right below on your screen there is an icon looks like a thunder. Click that icon then stop to remove safety.Hope this will help you.

Bitaw.. but problem is wala na cya nga feature sa windows 98.. walay "safely remove usb device" nga icon gyud..

you'll need to make sure nga wala naka nag read/write sa imo usb drive before imo tang tangon.. dako kaayo posibility nga maguba kung nag write pa then imo ma tang tang..

@cebu_doki: unsay OS sa na nimo gamit ang flash drive? kay ako flash drive di mo work sa Win98 dapat install sa nimo ang iyang USB driver usa pa siya ma gamit sa Win98.

i agree with you bro. For windows 98 and older versions, the flash drive will still need drivers before it can be seen in your pc.

Kindly check the display or led indicator in your flash drive if it responds when you connect the device to the pc.

yup, thats true win 98se and older os needs an external driver before you can use your flash drive. Plugging off your USB flash drive without taking it off safely might damage it, and also as much as possible do not use the usb header port kay it might be erroneously connected in the motherboard....

regarding about usb flash drive... pareha raba na sila tanan og speed regardless of brand? i'm planning to buy one pero i dont know if naa ba faster or slow kind nga usb flash drive... ako nahibawan is usb2.0 raman.

try it in another PC pa bro, mostly sa internet cafe, ila bya na gi-disable ang usb port for security reasons, bcn nka-tyming ka...
