I have to agree on this(about the insulin). when I started the all meat, no rice, no wheat diet.
pwede rako twice a day mokaon hehe.
I still need to troubleshoot my HDL ug LDL though. And di pa nako matulon kaayo ang "high cholesterol doesnt cause heart attack" argument.

hala nuh? violent reactions gyud? dli pwd reaction lng? hahaha
wait ka kay lain pud ng violent reaction na curse curse raill give you my answer as soon as possible hehehe i think this is going to be nice
true, our body can derive energy from proteins and fatty acids. BUT, carbohydrates man ang pinaka-efficient.. lahi man ang pathway pag breakdown sa 3 different macromolecules, but they converge at some point. like for example, fatty acids can be broken down into pyruvic acid which is a substrate sa krebs cycle = makaproduce gihapon ug ATP ang body. similarly, certain amino acids can be converted into different substrates gihapon sa krebs cycle..
now, why do i say mas efficient ang carbs? when you break down carbs, you need less oxygen than you would when you break down proteins or fats. (research about respiratory quotient for this). also, when you break down too much proteins, mutaas imong ammonia levels (byproduct of protein metabolism), which is toxic (may cause encephalopathy).. on the other hand, when you break down too much fats, mutaas imong ketone bodies (byproduct of fatty acid emtabolism), which can lead to ketoacidosis..
you have to be specific about the type of carbohydrates that can cause your insulin levels to shoot up.. simple carbs are the culprit here.. kay sayon ra man sila i-digest so dali ra sad mutaas ang blood glucose = your pancreas increases its insulin production.. pero kung complex carbs, dugay man ma-break down so they don't cause fluctuations sa insulin levels nimo..
really? no evidence of high cholesterol being bad? in my first year of medicine, i've learned that high LDL levels can predispose you to cardiovascular diseases..
hehehe giexplainan naman ka ni doc viper û idefend na para naa pa koy madefend
Hi,
gahuwat jud ko ug someone like you. if you dont mind, can you check this post?
Archevore - Archevore Diet
They promote a majority meat diet, no carbs, no sugar, no wheat, no grains, and no gluten diet. Animal fat is the source of energy.
They also argue that a high cholesterol level is not the cause of cardiovascular diseases(but it's not in this post). Although practicioners of this diet, have high cholesterol and high HDL but low LDL.
Galisod pako kay high cholesterol ug high LDL and low HDL ako result hehe.![]()
