    copy pasting isn't so bad if the purpose is to start a discussion.... but if the replies are mostly or all copy & pastes? That's something else...
    I'll take that as an assumption since we don't exactly know yet what will happen, I see people in some threads here discussing about history..

    There is not enough interest on the topic to warrant it's own category.

    Old thread. Reviving this one. I'm really hoping for a history section too pero naa pud punto na MURAG gamay ra gyud interesado ug History diri. Any way having one might generate people sharing and sourcing materials. I actually registered here because one of Deadstring67's articles turned out in the search engines which really gives a good name for a local website to generate articles that has a very wide audience in a global perspective.

    Dili gyud na malikayan bai, kay mo hatag man gyud ka ug sources, quotes, accounts etc.. Anyway if you copy & paste my threads on any search engine I'm sure it'll only take you back here or to a wordpress I own.

    ^ Bai, where did that come from?

    I was only meaning to elaborate that history is an interesting topic to share and online forums are proven to be a great place to do that. And a local forum like Istorya is a big plus for the rest of us to see a growing community right here in VisMin interested about the past.

    @machinecult,

    I want a forum added about [insert topic here]. Who do I talk to?

    We are aware that people have many ideas and topics they wish to discuss and many times the appropriate forum might not be available. The straight-forward solution might be to add a separate forum. Adding a new forum is very easy, however there are factors that must be taken into account.

    • The main reason to decline a request is software. iSTORYA is run by software just like any other application. Although adding forums is easy, we must take into account the right time and the need for such a forum, otherwise it is waste of resources and bandwidth. A newer version of the forum we use to run iSTORYA is in development. When that version becomes stable, BeoR has plans on adding new forums, but not until then or unless there is overwhelming need for such a forum (or the hand of God).
    • Are there other users interested? We would all want a forum that interests us. I might be interested in Barbie dolls, but that isn't reason enough for a new forum about my interest in Barbie Dolls. There may well be others interested, but is it truely justified to add a forum solely for Barbie Dolls?
    • If you feel you still need to suggest a forum, please suggest the forum by creating a new topic in Support Center.

    Also, just because the forum doesn't exist doesn't mean it hasn't been considered nor does it mean it won't be added in the future.

    opsi.. i meant for the few here who disregard history buffs like "us" as boring that branded history as "not too interesting" thats why theres no special section for it.

    i love history, i hate people who hate it. ^_^

    it is one thing to know history. it's another to know what it means.
