UPS has a surge protector, pero dili guaranteed na maka protect sa imo hardware but it works. I can hear my ups click once in a while due to surge protection kicking in. I dont know if ang 2k budget na AVR if guaranteed pud ba ang protection.

Between the two, I choose UPS, kay naa nay surge protection and at the same time ma protectionan pud imo data and HDD in case kung naa sudden power interuption. I bought a APC UPS for 1.6K, its 300watts, and it could last for 15mins in case of brownout. Not bad investment for 1.6k in my opinion. Kato daghan money, palit mo ug nuclear power plant. Guaranteed no interuption!

unsa man nindot na ups krn? kana sakto ra pang shut down bah kung mu brown out nya barato pud kai gamai ra budget....hehehe

SMARTUPS are best. katu ang output is 100% driver by the backup battery to isolate your equiptment from the main AC line. this way u can get a much more cleaner power source compared sa switch-type na ups na sometimes when it switches it can cause a short sag of powr mao ang uban equiptment mo reset or mo restart kung d kaapas sa delay enduced sa switching(layman's terms).
