Majority of Catholic doctrine has violated God's Word. Yet millions of Catholics ignore God's instructions and continue following the traditions of men, claiming to be right because they are in a religious majority. Jesus warns:

"...whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man... And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man..." Matthew 7:24, 26

Does God consider you a wise or foolish person? If you believe you can ignore God's commands because you are in a religious majority, you need to read Matthew 7:24-26 again.

Jesus gives another warning to the majority who have disregarded God's Word and are counting on earning their salvation through good works:

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:22-23

How is it that so many Catholics can call Jesus their Lord, yet totally disregard His instructions? Jesus asked that very same question in His Word:

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Luke 6:46

You can ignore this question now, but what will you say when Jesus asks you the same question in person when you die and stand before Him for judgment?

The truth will always be the Truth. How much sincere you might be as a Catholic, but the truth is always out there available for you to know and learn. It is not of the righteousness (tradition, ritual, good works, etc) that we have done but according to God's mercy, He saves us.

Clumsydierdre said 'OPEN-MINDEDNESS', now here open your mind.

Faith alone in Christ alone! It means not to Mary and other prophets and saints who lived godly in their times which we should set an example also like Apostle Paul said 'Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.'

It said also Christian = follower of Christ. How come if they Pray more to Mary than to Christ? How many hail mary's in the rosary against a prayer to Christ?

Do You Understand THIS? Who is more being worship the Creator or the creature? Why do bow down to images which have made by unrepentant people. There so many conflict.

I hope I have a better way or words to tell you these things. I am not being dogmatic and it has nothing to do with TELLING THE TRUTH. Please read Romans Chapter 1.

    (1) When it comes to the issue of eternal security, the Bible makes it absolutely clear that those who have been saved will never be lost.
Cite any early Christian witness that agree with that.

Yet, I, for my part, have cited many early Christian witnesses who espoused Catholic doctrine and dogma. Remember that your beliefs should conform with what had been believe before.

Again, cite your early Christian witnesses.

If you insist on the authority of the Bible alone, cite also early Christian witnesses who actually espouse that belief.

@dacs - verses are quoted here about assurance of salvation! Do you think it's untrue? Do you think the apostles died without being exactly sure of salvation? Do you think popes, priests, saints, died without exactly being sure of where they are going to spend eternity? Do you think that all your knowledge about the catholic church and its doctrines will merit you a place in heaven? Are we certain that the saints whom catholics prayed for intercession are now in heaven? You may dismiss these questions, but it cannot change the assurance real believers have in Jesus Christ.

To the others - the time to live is too short! We do not know when our time will come. But it is certain, that one day, we will face our Creator! How good are you to merit a place in heaven? How knowledgeable are you for your name to be written in the Book of Life? Romans 3:10, There is no one righteous, no not even one". Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus" . There is still hope, and that hope is in Jesus Christ. 1 john 5:11-13 "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."

Mark 7:7-9 “And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of man-the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.”
Isaiah 29:23 “There worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.” Colossions 2:8 “Don’t let others spoil your faith and joy with their phi***phies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men’s thoughts and ideas, instead of what Christ has said.”
Luke 20:46 “Beware of teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes”
Funny but it all applies to your church? Can you trace the existence of your church from the time of the Apostles? If you cannot do so, all those quotation points to your church. Pity.

Do you really understand what prayer is? If you read my posts, then you will probably realized what you do when you pray. Protestants have tried to change the meaning of the word 'pray' so as to apply only to God. You are one of those?

So you have never prayed for your loved ones who are sick. You have never prayed for anyone except for yourself. Doing so will be mediating between that someone and God.

Do you not believe then that those who died in Christ are alive in Christ. Do you not believe that the transfiguration of Christ occured (Matthew 17:1-13) and Moses and Elijah appeared to Peter, James and John. They were never rebuked by Christ with their utterance in verse 4. Those who died in Christ will forever be alive in Christ and will always be a part of the Body of Christ, the Church.

Tell that to our Lord Jesus Christ who, on that night He will be betrayed, prayed thrice using the same words (Matthew 26:44). Thrice using the same wordsa and on the same night.

And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”
Are you really thick or just faking it? It is obvious that John is referring to that book alone - the book of Revelation. Just because it is the last book of the Bible does not make allow for the interpretation of that passage as concerning the whole Bible. First, there was no Bible then (as we know it now) when John wrote the accounts of the revelations. No one church in the whole world then have a copy of all the books nor does any church knew what book are part of the Bible. They never knew of anything called the Bible - though they may have some writing they considered inspired.

Do you read history? Then you probably knew that Martin Luther wanted to take out the letter of James out of the Bible. He also wanted to take out the revelation to John because he could not understand it. Away with your myths, girl!

You have made sinful presumptions above. You bear false witness to the faith of Catholics. I hope Christ will be merciful to you even with your being a false witness to the faith of billions of Catholics.

Romans 6:23 - 'For the wages of sin is death...' You are saying then that you cannot sin or that Christ will now be blind to your sin. Is this how the early Christians believed? Prove.

Matthew 16:19, 18:18 – '...whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.' and John 20:23 – 'Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.' The apostles had exercise an office (Acts 1:12-26). Their successors are the bishops of the Catholic Church (and also the Orthodox churches). In the exercise of that office, they surely can delegate this power of forgiving sins to the ordained priesthood.

Obviously, not enough. Have you considered the implication of Acts 17:11. The Bereans examined the scriptures. Obviously, the Acts of the Apostles is not part of the scriptures that the Bereans are examining. Who had exercised authority to include the Acts of the Apostles as part of the scriptures?

Worship - (as defined in Meriam Webster) an extravagant form of veneration. Sometimes worship can be used as a metaphor. e.g. in romantic relationships people admit that they worship their significant other although they don't literally bow before their partner. or say prayers for their better half

How can this not be called worship:

Hail holy queen mother of mercy.
Hail our life (compare against Jn 11: 25) our sweetness and our hope (compare against Col. 1: 27)
To you do we cry poor banished children of eve (compare against Rom. 10: 13)
To you do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this
valley of tears, send them most gracious advocate (compare against 1 Jn 2: 1 NAB) your eyes
    of mercy towards us.

That's not ^ just a written prayer or other mystical form of adoration as the hyperdulia is taught it is Mariolatry!

With this premise of worship established:

The lawless one the one who opposes and exalts himself over
every so called god or object of worship (hyperdulia)...
the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of
Satan, with every sign, and miracle that lies he will use all
deceits on those who are perishing... with this God sends them the strong
power of error so that they will believe the lie that those who didn't love the truth will be condemned

    - 2 Thes. 2: 4, 8, 9 - 12
