yes, I agree with you guy's stand re how boxing is looked at in the US. it doesn't get to the news most of the time, only when an American fights for a title that it somehow gets attention, so little at that. whenever some boxer's name is mentioned, most of the time they're just for laughs. it doesn't get the respect, the mileage, the mystique and the attention that it used to have before in the media. I think it was a series of dubious calls, bad decisions, questionable results to mega-fights that happenend throughout the years that made this sport suffer its fate. one incident, "Tyson biting-off Holyfield's ear" didn't help a bit and it only made boxing's dive into infamy much quicker.![]()
