If she is dealt with properly by the system ie detention, assault charges, swift trial etc I would be amazed. It just doesn't happen and I fully expect that she will not be punished in any meaningful way. In fact so many folks think what she did was somehow admirable that this stunt will likely keep her in power for the foreseeable future. I guess the masses really got the leadership they deserve. No more sympathy from me.

Sheriff did something wrong. Mayor did something wrong as well.

Sheriff's fault is technical. Mayor's fault is somewhat personal but related japon sa work to compensate the technical mistake that Sheriff have done.

if an unprofessional action is all you need to do para ma displina ang tanan then no regret doing it.

id rather sacrifice the sheriff than those people (sheriff, squatters, demolition team, police) nga na involved sa riot. wala mn jud untay bloodshed if only naminaw ang sheriff sa hangyo sa mayor.

if only naka huwat og 2 hours ang sheriff, dili unta ni ma ingon ani...

"The intention of the Mayor for asking for 2 hours is to prevent anyone from being hurt in a violent demolition. The Sheriff chose to use violence instead of going for the peaceful solution of the Mayor. People got hurt, including the policeman hit by Indian pana and those hit by rocks because of the sheriff's decision. So who hurt more people? the Mayor or the Sheriff? The Mayor was simply fighting back for those who had no chance against the superior force of the Sheriff. If the Sheriff waited for 2 hours, he would have accomplished the demolition just the same, but without the violence. While others may say that a wrong cannot be solved with another wrong, there are times when someone has to stand up against the bullies. Our Lady Mayor certainly had the balls to do that, unlike some other politicians i know. And she has the balls to accept the consequences of her action. unlike some people who look for other people to blame for their mistakes. Before we condemn her for what she has done, let's ask ourselves, what have WE DONE to make society better? Let those who have done more than Our Lady Mayor be the first to throw criticisms at her." - Jojo Cuyugan
