Swerteha sa akong pag umangkon.... Mechanical Engineer, graduate pagka 2009. Karon kay Facilities Manager na sa usa ka dako nga company diri sa Cebu. Dili man mosulti pila ang sweldo, pero I assume above 40k na iyang basic salary.

Walay backer2x... dili pod to top achiever sa klase og sa board exam, average lang. Swerte jud bataa.

Suya pod ko gamay... pero mas proud and happy ko niya. At least dili ta mag problema nga atong paryente mag adik2x, sige pang huwam ug kwarta, etc...

"HELL NO." Unta akong gustong isulti. Pero wa man ko kahibaw sa pila gyud average salary sa inyong field gud. Pero sa amo sa IT ba kay mag average naman gud ug 20k with or without experience. ako suggestion sis, apply sa imo passion na work bahala gamay sweldo bsta love nimo. from time to time maka learn rka dghan ana unya magamit na nimo para sa taas2 na position. By the way, sa Fluor sad kay pwede ka apply usa as CAD designer (if kabawo ka CAD) unya pwede naman ka apply unya internally sa lain na discipline na gusto nimo, say Process Engg for a chemical engr. Mas dali ra sud sa Fluor basta kabawo ka autocad or any CAD software.

I'm an engineer, 2.5 years experience and earning more than 10k. Pero problem lang jud nako kay management position ko. Dili man sya problema financially kay makaingon ko na above average jud akong sweldo. I feel lang jud na nagaka-taya na akong utok kay wala jud syay connect sa akong course. I tried applying sa Fluor and Lexmark pero dili ko ma-consider kay walay connection akong management experience. Murag dili sad ko ka-abroad dah kung wala koy technical foundation. Hay paet.

So TS, if you think you will gain solid technical experience na makatabang sa imong career in the future, go for it. Kay ako medyo dako lagi sweldo pero nagka-bulok na unya wala pa jud nalipay sa iyang gibuhat.hehe

Timing2, deskarte or swerte jud na if makakita kag more than 10k+ with no exp. Ako klasemate dli kaayo kamao 6.5 years sa college pero karon kay ang sweldo mag 30k+ na, 3 years exp pa sya. Nakasud man siya sa usa ka nindot nga IT company dri sa cebu. Naa pud koi kaila nga maayo kaau sa college(com laude) pero ang trabaho kay dli inline sa korso nga engineer then gamay pajud og sweldo pero nalipay raman daw siya. Mao nay giingon nga "There are infinite possibilities for what our lives can be. But only one reality we can live in. Make sure to chose to live the one you want."

A lot of the engineers in the company I am working in started with salaries lower than 10k (in another company). But with the experience they have gained that is relevant to our business, they got hired soon after they applied (hehehe joke) and are now earning Php **,***, more than double their previous salaries. Some are now even earning in $$$.
