some calculations:

old fare:
from our place to school, taxi fare amounts to around P85.00
85-30 = P55.00 (getting the additional fare aside from the P30.00)

55/2.50 = 22 (how many times ni add ug 2.50 from the fare)
so 22x pu patak ug P2.50

New fare:
P40.00 starting fare
P3.50 patak x 22 times = 77

P40 + P77 = P117.00


new - old = increase
117 - 85 = P32 increase

this only applies to the route i'm taking which is around 4-5 kilometers.

i have not done the first 500 meters or the other conditions imposed in the rates on distance. so this isn't super accurate.

kayasa, dili gyud na luxury ang taxi intawn. in some instances, if we have a choice nga mag-jeep nganong gud dili. hurot man sad sweldo nato ani sa taxi lang.

Take note that only taxis with the new meters are entitled for the increased rates. So ang mga taxi nga karaan pa ang meter or dili makaissue ug receipts digitally, di na sila pwede. My question now is, until when ba pwede ni ang mga karaan nga meters pwede?

Don't you guys think that P40 and P3.50 is just too much? What is additional 200 meters compared to P10 nga increase? Pwede ra man siguro P35 then P3. This puts burden to operators, drivers, and passengers. Sa operators, this is an additional cost. Mahal ang bag-o nga meter. Sa drivers, of course, taas ra kaayo ang pasahe so most likely there will be a significant decrease sa mga pasahero. And for the passengers, labi na sa kadtong tigtaxi gyud, no choice but to live up to the new rates. Pangita na lang mo ug lain nga sideline para motaas ang kita.

I think that this should be reviewed. At a lesser rate, I think that drivers could still earn good daily. Kana kung dili sad kuhaon tanan sa operator.

naay dugang galastohan ang operator aron maka paningil ug bag-ong taxi fare. asa man nila kuhaon aron maka bawi ila negosyo. sigurado patas-an ang boundary sa ilang mga drivers.

It would have been better if the flag down rate stays at 30 pesos, and only the rate for the succeeding 300 meters should be increased. For me, reasonable ra man ang 3.50pesos but dli nako ma.reconcile ang additional 10pesos sa flag down rate. Anyways, it does not matter na, na.approve naman ni. hehehehe.
