remember, during marcos' time...people got drafted and sent to Mindanao. lucky were those who had jobs...stable jobs. there were not enough soldiers to do the fighting.Originally Posted by lestat1116
now, are you sure there are enough soldiers to go to war, drop bombs. this country cant afford that much you know.hehehe
*this could be a military campaign ad: you want all out war? your country needs you too! join the army now!
ngano e apil man ninyo ang ROTC?
mag cge tag training2x anang ROTC then igo lang ka ilaron og ipa-on sa sa gubat, tan awa ron ohh unsay nahitabo? kinsa may inosente atong hitabo-a? ang mga marines di bah? kay di bah nag cease fire between MILF and government then what happen now?
kinsay ma blame?
honestly, if we do have the resources then fine.![]()
put yourself on the soldiers boots for once. they are not disposable. they are people too, with families, friends and kids. its hard for a soldier to give up his life for ate Glow's administration...despite that they do it for our country and not the people running it.
unsa man ang pagka snappy? self defense? ang pag marcha2x?
yeps, mura manig israeli army. yes, they are lousy, they dont march well, they reply with "why march when we can ride in tanks and trucks." despite that kind of attitude, they did comply when their nation was in trouble. ang 5-day war, most jews in america(working class) went back to israel to answer the call.
dire kulang gani tag mga salakyan, mangahulog ra ning chopper walay kontra
about our troop numbers...do you know pila dyud ang ganahan ma sundalo? its less than what you think.thats why marcos got the balls to do the draft. ambot na lang karon...
*naa bya pod koy na learn sa ROTC. medyo old issue pero, during the vietnam conflict...it only takes about 8 hours for china to invade this country from vietnam. the phil. armed forces(regular) can last 30 days straight cpmbat. enough time to mobilize the reservist(thats us) and operate guerilla tactics.
ambot basun naay bagong revisions...and btw: i kinda forgot my reservist number...
no need nman ta mo joint the army bro, kai we are already part of it, under the law all reservist who graduated from ROTC are ready for deployment when called for duty. basin nkalimot nmo what is that training all about...
kanus.a ni mahitabo? in times of war, when there will be shortage of active Armed Forces which again i don't think mahitabo not unless there will be another world war, or invation. wla man gani na mangahurot ang mga Amerikano nga nakig.gira gyd na sa Iraq ug Afganistan...
and if ever nakalimot mo asa mo ma-asign, don't worry the military will contact you for active duty. yet again i don't think this will happen for jst a speck of conflicting people ni mindanao.
back to the issue:
pero layo naman ni sa issue... i say all out war to these rebels, which i donlt thnk majority sa populations sa mindanao nga dli kaya sa mga military. why? dugay na kau ni come n go kanus.a paman diay ni nila undangun? no wonder we all get some pissed-off Jr. Officers...
dili ko activista nor against their agenda, yanong mamomu-o lang ko nga maglagot sad to hear this barbaric assult by this group of people (people -- if they are worthy to be called as such).
The beheading and mutilation of soldiers by muslim extremists is actually nothing new. Even back in the 70's, muslim extremists would behead fallen soldiers, sometime even take the heads with them as trophies.
On the other side of the coin, the soldiers would also mutilate fallen enemies. I heard from a former high-ranking soldier who was assigned in mindanao that there was a time they cut the ear of a captured enemy and ate it.
^^i believe those were ilokano or was it ilongo soldiers...i forgot their unit name. the moros did fear that unit. they were as burtal as them...
^^ was it ilaga? hmmm... limot na sab ko.
basin mag all-out-war2x ni... mapareho ni sa Iraq.
You talk of war as if you yourself would commit to defend your country. You talk of war as if you are watching a war movie & fantasize you are invincible and agile like FPJ. I tell you, YOU don't know anything about war & the butchering that ensue that each side will do against each other. You war-mongering you! You could not even stand still under a hot noon sun for one hour & you squirm about joining ROTC offering all kinds of excuses & you got the gall to dictate your measly opinion here in this forum. You talk big yet I hear only whimpers of a no-good wimp. Meanwhile, we mourn those who fell down bravely in defense of their lives, their comrades & our country's sovereignty. Let's talk of war only in our dreams.
yes those were the "ILAGA" groups. most savage of all daw ni cla, from a friend who talks about
life in Basilan.
