True sir @NudgeDELTA, we all have the same aim to progress our country. To do that, we have to look forward rather than pulling backwards.. Problem is, administration and opposition is like playing tug of war to get a credit, while their supporters anti-and pro is doing thug war. That makes us like an intertwined rope, the same rope that tied us and make it impossible for us to go forward to progress.
Again, there is a good point there. The law is there for good. It passed the process from being a bill to a full pledged law. I'm not an Aquino supporter, nor did I vote for the guy. But I believe in working towards a common goal. If you've noticed the past few years, the proliferation of activists has been alarming. Blind activism where people just blatantly oppose the government initiatives without understanding the whole scenario. Experts, specialists, and officials were put in place for a reason. If satisfaction is attained, let's be the first to change that culture of electing a traditional politician. Simple as that. But come election time, we elect the crowd favorites and those who could shell out bribes.

Where have you been? Why do people like you who make sense has only 233 Post in 2 years... I've been through a lot of keyboard battle here with exactly the same POV as yours, but for lack of better words we've been circling around and chasing tails to bite on... I only have 163 posts in 2 years mostly in B&S Section and now I have 400++ in just a span of 2 months. Imagine the battle I've been through... Again thanks to you those words above will probably open the other side of what they call fact.

Likewise. Unlike other posters who post for the sheer glory of numbers, and the proliferation of unmitigated complaints, I am contented at reading for entertainment. I believe in debate and argument as a tool for seeking the truth. Our arguments here will remain mere words and we'll probably pop a vein or two, unless we do something about it. I also believe that the issue above is so vague that it has to be broken up into different contexts.

Exactly, at first I merely read the conversation here but I later find out that it is not really a conversation of the current events but a singled-out criticism to the government coz each and every input was derogatory remarks to the President and its failures. So I pop a comment why we put all the blame to a single person for a very long and old complicated issues without giving him the benefit of the doubt and the possibility of our involvement to the said failures. They took it as a Pro-comment so I was swarmed with a negative blows. It's indeed a vein popping experience, so I defended myself and try to pop their veins as well... Or maybe it's just me and how I arranged my words to convey the thought, So I thanked you for giving a clear definition of what I am trying to say.

We cannot deny the fact that majority of parents are misinformed. The information drive is not that thorough or precise that some parents became hesitant to embrace the changes because what stilled on their minds are the burden and additional expenses that K-12 created. DepEd should work hard for this.

Affirmative. Our local DepEd is still a backwards civilization. I've attended meetings for school administrators, and the usual speakers don't even know how to express themselves properly. There are exceptions to the rule. But still, evident are the corrupt practices of the department:

    1. Bribe from teacher applicants to supervisors and superintendents.
    2. Bribe from school operators to supervisors.
    3. Bribe of teachers for a faster route to promotions.

These can't be generalized as there are competent DepEd officials as well. Unfortunately, some of them are place in other areas or chose to go to another district for a chance to make a difference. Dr. Ramir Uytico was one of my professor and a DepEd Cebu official. Unfortunately for us, he was transferred to Dumaguete City where he is currently the Superintendent. Now DepEd Dumaguete is rising up in terms of educational reforms, and Dr. Uytico has been receiving a lot of acclaims from the Department. What's left here are DepEd officials who are crabs in a bucket. They exist solely for their own gain. I do understand that in any organization or company, office politics always play a role in the efficiency of their service. Quid pro quo.

As for K-12 information dissemination, I believe better relay should have been in order.

On a side note, the mass media outlets who are supposed to be part and parcel of the information drive would rather contradict and oppose the move in the hopes of a higher rating. Some column writers are notorious to aggravate an issue to malign the good name of a program or a person.

Syempre kay people from other countries ought to help their own govt man while kita, dili gani mo sugot i regulate ang abuses amongst ourselves. Inshort crab mentality ang ipalabaw pirmi.

Based on my direct experience aning edukasyon sa pilipinas kay i am now teaching major subjects in relation to my profession, bisag bag o pa ni graduate sa basics, mura jud ug way nakat onan. And mo blame sa govt when in deed and in fact, ang individual baya maoy nagskwela dili baya ang deped/ched/govt.

Ok lang unta kung gamay ra ang dili kamao, ang naka pait kay 80% sa class dili kamao? Basic mathematics, basic english, basic science, basic chemistry and physics? And yet graduate ug highschool?

Magool ka maghuna2 kung unsay quality ani ilang edukasyon nga lahi raman sa akong naagian pag highschool.
