The Government should set example that they can not be dictated by few unscrupolous big timers if it want to survive and give hope to people. I've lost hope to our government a long time ago but I will change my mind if it can bring to justice and punish these big 3.

days after gpatawag ug conference to explain their side, ni file ug kaso ang Capitol together w/ Cebu biz leaders against the Big 3 in Manila coz their explanation is just too far off: the price disparity in Cebu is due to market forces daw.

a summons for preliminary investigation by the DOJ was done last May 28 for the Big 3 to submit their counter affidavits. i think they are a no-show. the investigations are still ongoing...

Big 3 hit for high oil prices in Cebu
    By CHITO A. CHAVEZ
    June 19, 2009, 5:49pm

The Philippine Councilors League (PCL) has scored the country’s big three oil companies for imposing higher prices in Cebu compared to the prevailing costs in Metro Manila.

PCL national president Victor V. Ferrer Jr. of the first district of Quezon City said for inexplicable reasons oil prices in Cebu are at least P7 higher per liter than the prices of the same product sold in other parts of the country.

He said he suspects that the unexplained disparity in prices imposed by the big three oil companies – Petron, Caltex and Shell – is a badge of cartelization as defined in the Oil Deregulation Act.

The PCL national president said the high cost of oil prices in Cebu further demonstrates the big three’s predatory pricing, restraint in trade and unfair competition in the oil industry.

Maingon ta kintahay nga paguapa ni ni Gwen. It is one means of selling oneself to the public para sa sunod nga election dili ka makalimtan. This is fine and this is perfectly legal. Wa may napriso kay nagpa guapa. But let us look to the other side... di man ni madali dali nga morag mag templa ug instant coffee nga butang sa cup o baso, butangan ug init tubig, gamay nga sugar unya kutawon. Moagi pa man na ug legal proceedings. Unya kahibalo namo sa Pilipinas kung maghisgot na ka ug keha-keha, tinuig man dyud na. So dili ta mag damgo nga diha dayon naay mo resulta anang keha ni Gwen. The good news is that someone is willing enough to face the BIG 3 and its abuses to the Cebuanos. Babaye pa. nganung di man unta to si Tomas ba ni keha kay we have a tough mayor di ba?
