^ i don't think so.
I know that there is no word in our dialect that could directly translate "mentally unstable" without changing the meaning. That's why the term "boang" is often misused. But please be advised that "boang" is a general term and does not pertain to the same case for all those who are mentally unstable. For those who study mental health, it is considered rude to call a mental patient "crazy". It is more appropriate to say he's "mentally unstable" or "mentally ill".
Depression is different from being just emotionally unstable but both can be symptoms of the mental disorder schizophrenia. Usually, those who are over-achievers or people who are OC about achieving their goals are the ones who are easily affected by major depression and could also be bipolar (manic depressive). These kinds of people usually have the Type A personality. Most disorders can also be symptoms of another disorder. So we can never tell who's having what unless a mental health professional determines it.
So the weather may just be a predisposing factor or it could be something else. Stress may not be as serious as it sounds but undergoing high stress levels may lead to serious complications to both physical and mental health. So it really doesn't hurt to chillax from time to time and take a breather from life's hardships. Because if you don't, you might just be the next person we would talk about in this thread.

NABUANG tungod sa : "I lose my LOVE bec. of my BRAIN, while he lose his BRAIN bec. of his LOVE"
though the exact cause of most mental illnesses is not known is becoming clear through research that many of these conditions are caused by a combination of biological, psychological, and environmental factors.
biological- genetics,prenatal damage,substance abuse
psychological- neglection, poor ability to relate others
environmentaL- A dynsfunctional family life, living in poverty, feelings of inadeaquacy, low self-esteem, anxiety, anger or lonelineliness.
mao na na run'.. uso na na run'.. ky kung unsay uso, ang pinoy sundog jud'. ehehehe
