BSP Circular 98-1995 states that "The transportation of foreign currency or monetary instruments is legal. However, the carrying of foreign currency in excess of US$10,000.00 or its equivalent in other foreign currencies must be declared to a Customs Officer or the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. VIolation of this rule may lead to seizure and sanctions, fines and / or penalties."
Does not explicitly state anything about carrying foreign money within the philippines, ako pasabot dili international but local travel, like what if your a filipino, you are already inside and you have foreign money, unsay kasabitan nimo kung mag lakaw-lakaw with foreign money?
hmm doubt masabit ka sa local authorities...it only apply kun gikan ka sa gawa...sa ato, sa tulisan cguro may posibility
better contact BSP for more details cguro...
btw bai, why not use a banking facility to move that money? its safer pa gyud...I mean kun dako gyud ba.
