How does it hold hot water/coffee? I bought one (probably a knock off) and it comes with a lid with a rubber gasket but you can't shake it if it has liquid cause it burst open and spills. Im looking to replace it with the genuine one.

I think it bursts open because there is no hole (the very tiny one) on the lid. I'm not sure if what you bought is a bootleg, but most probably it is. The item that I have here has a tiny hole on the lid to release pressure especially if hot beverage is used so that it wouldn't burst open. And, I tested it with hot water and the lid remained closed after shaking it. Originally Posted by Pmip_jv
