I am not sending it to Cebu without a sure buyer as I also have it posted here in the USA (please check my last post).
I just think there is more chance of it getting sold here in the US than to Filipinos which spending P35k on a diamond engagement ring is not practical.
If I send it to Cebu and someone wants to see it here in the US, what am I suppose to do?
THAT IS JUST NOT SMART TO DO.
I am only sending it when someone had paid for it. (meaning sure buyer)
I offer full refund if ring arrives and buyer changes his/her mind (minus) shipping.
No offense but I have read a few posts here about people who can't do what they say and it seems more of a common trait to a few Filipinos. (time mis-management including)

I am not in a hurry to sell it. My terms have to be met (if buyer is in Cebu). My terms are quite reasonable enough.

This ring had cost me $1700 and tax (that's no junk diamonds!).
    Color F's
    Clarity VS'

    Thank you!

    Up up up up!

No offense, but in buying jewelry, you have to see and feel it to believe it's real.
Especially for Gold and Diamonds wherein there are a lot of imitations/man made/replicas.
(Even certificates can easily be forged)
How do I know this? I was in the jewelry business and I take my time checking the items, especially the stone for imperfections or performing an acid/scratch test on gold.

My advice: Don't expect that your ring would be sold here especially that the item of such value is not available for viewing/scrutiny. Try craigslist.com or ebay. I'm sure there are a lot of potential buyers there in the US.

Payment can be deposited to my Banco de Oro (Ayala Mall-branch) Peso Savings Account.

    1. I can give you my address in Cebu City (Guadalupe). I have a house there by Monterraza de Cebu Subdivision. You can check out where my family lives.

    2. Deposit the money to my BDO account. Once I see it posted on my account (which is instant because I have online access to it), I will make arrangements with FedEx (you add for shipping-which I have to figure out) to mail the ring insured to my family in Cebu.

    3. You can pick up from Guadalupe. Sorry, I can't mail it directly to you for safety reasons (you might claim that you didn't receive it- not that you'd do it). If you don't like the ring (which is impossible (it's a great deal!), I can return your money back except the FedEx shipping fee.

There is no way I would jeopardize my reputation and my family's for scrap P35K. However, as buyer and seller, we have to agree on each others' terms and these are my terms.

I also have this ring posted here in the USA. Unfortunately, the ladies here turn their nose on this because engagement rings that men buy are about 3-months pay average (my ring retailed only for under $2k), and they like buying directly from the store. Women here cost more to ask for marriage.

***True, spending P35k for Filipino 'economics' is not practical so I am not so worried about it.
That's why I have posted it via local city craigslist.org (meet up in person). But this is my first buy&sell post here on istorya.net forum so I am feeling out the Cebu City crowd.

I may consider posting it on eBay.com - you said "My advice: Don't expect that your ring would be sold here especially that the item of such value is not available for viewing/scrutiny.

I know if I have it posted on eBay, the buyer would have to pay via Paypal and then I have to send it over the mail. People would just click on buying something without seeing it then? It could be lost in the mail, the buyer can reverse his/her payment claiming non-receipt or claiming it's fake, swap the diamonds etc and then I AM OUT AND STUCK with eBay selling fees, my time and effort yadah yadah yadah...

Thanks for the advice though. I will stick to my terms. If noone likes it that way, I perfectly understand. Who knows someone with expensive taste who happens to be in Cebu or have family here in Seattle would want it and sees my ad on istorya.net... right?

I don't really understand all that you said.
Everything is already covered but if you read like you write, I understand that nothing of it you would have understood.

All the concerns are already covered. And I have fair terms. I have a house in Guadalupe, if a sure buyer wants to check ... that's cool. Then when he/she picks up the ring and don't like it, I can issue a refund minus shipping. This is for me to avoid people just blowing smoke (day dreamers!) and for the buyers protection, he/she can come visit my house in Guadalupe by Monterraza de Cebu Subdivision in Guadalupe. He/ she will have to pick up the ring from there anyways once paid, check the authenticity, my brother can come with you to go to the fine jewelry store at the mall (no going to cheapoooo, hot corner, stinky/smelly stores owned by God knows who).

    My terms or not....

Russian diamonds/ CZ diamonds are very common not only in the US but everywhere. One can wear an engagement diamond made of a glass bottom and it will still look like real. Duuhhhh? That's why it has to be authenticated. That's no brainer....

Thanks for adding your views as it bumps my ad. Either it gets sold or not, it just has to be on my terms (buyers protection also covered- I offer a refund). Obviously, it is a risk to let someone know my address in Cebu City if I want to fool someone. But I figure if that person can afford P35k for a simple engagement ring, he/she obviously has a job and is decent enough to be welcomed at my home.

SOMEONE BUYS IT OR NOT (from Cebu City) -it doesn't matter to me, LET'S JUST KEEP THINGS SIMPLE SHALL WE It's not rocket science. I said all my terms VERY VERY VERY PLAINLY to be understood very very simply....

People who can't read and understand have no business in being on istorya.net forum 'buy&sell' anyways. Either you'll get ripped off or just waste people's time. DEAL OR NO DEAL, as simple as that!

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND... (like I said, I have not much hopes in selling it to a Filipino buyer that's why I am not sending it to Cebu!, it is not smart to do- I have it posted here in Seattle)

    Thank you istorya!
