    my take on this is kay, wlay nindot nga language para sa tanan. pero naay nindot nga language para sa imong goal or sa imong gusto na buhaton/output. example in web development, like magcreate ba ka ug "the next" facebook social networking site, (just my opinion) you should learn PHP. if you want to develop Android apps, mag Java ka.

    my advice, find something that you'd like to do and you think you can continue doing till you die.

    OOP? i think you should wisely choose which route to take, either Java or C++. if nahan ka mag heavylifting, choose Java. Good book? Head First Java.

    in my own opinion:

    if you are a REAL programmer, then, you shouldn't choose or prefer only one language (to master).
    if you are a REAL coder, then follow what others suggested (and that is to SERIOUSLY TAKE only one programming language, either C, Java, PHP, C++, etc.)

    yup tama ka mr. b@r3f00t. You don't need to choose any language if you are a REAL programmer. However if you are not then maybe you need to choose a language that will fit in you and you are comfortable of using it.

    first of all, PHP is not a programming language.
    depende na unsay hilig nmo, og asa ka maayo, most important, asa ka komportable

    In Addition to Mr. Romano :

    PHP is a scripting language.

    Why scripting because php :
    -> runs inside another program
    -> it is not compiled
    -> it is easy to use and easy to write.

    But today the difference between scripting and programming is largely an academic thing.

    asa ka comfortable mao na na. all you need is the foundation to work with the syntax. Tahts it. All should just fall into places.

    tama ka cyraxx....

    Di lang kay syntax ra, dapat kamao pud ka sa semantics o unsay meaning sa imo code.
