What I would like to see Bungie do for Halo Reach's
multiplayer team based games though, is make it that it's Humans (Spartans) vs. Covenant (Elites). When it comes to it's multiplayer, previous Halo titles have always stuck to the same old
Team Red vs
Team Blue scenario, with each team consisting of either Spartans or Elites or a combination of both. Now nothing wrong with this I know, but it doesn't feel like the multiplayer is an extension to the story. Spartans killing each other is not something that happens on the Halo universe, so you feel like you're playing a simulation (in context to the Halo story) everytime you hop in online.
Other big game shooters in the past and present have made that distinction when it comes to online team based games and have used characters from either you played with or against with from the single-player campaign. Earlier Call of Duty games for an example uses the Allies vs Axis scenario, and recent Modern Warfare titles puts you on either the militia team or the Rangers. Tom Clancy titles have always been bout terrorists/extremists vs. an elite force. Gears of War online puts you on either the human COGs or the Locusts. So Bungie could really mix it up a little here. Imagine if you end up on the Covenant Elite side when you go online. You've got access to Covenant weaponry that the Spartans don't have access to during spawn right away, and vice versa.
So I'm kinda hoping it ends up that way. If it doesn't then no big deal. I'd still play the game.
