they say, the hard drive has the capability to move its read/write head in the event of power loss pero before, its the hard drive that usually dies first because the head crashes into the platter. if you are in the middle of a bios update, goodbye mobo sad.
if not doing a bios update? lets just say playing games or watching videos on youtube?
YES I can say it will affect jud bro labi na sa HDD as what poldo said. The best thing that you can do get UPS nowadays coz it seems CEBU CITY had electric power shortage...
ya im planning to buy one soon. cge man gud brownout nya unpredictable kaayo. guba atong mga pc aning kalaki sa veco.
naa tay countdown sah...1min b4 mo brownout...i guess UPS gyud tah ani.
Hehehehe....countdown lage....bitaw UPS can provide you that. Im looking for a bang for a buck UPS like GIANT UPS before na model karon wa nako kakita ato. It has builtin AVR and the price is not too expensive. I want to buy APC pero walay builtin AVR w/c I dont like...
unsa na mobo? i experienced this with my EP45-UD3R pero dual-bios man, automatic ra ni copy ang main bios sa backup bios tapos re-flash lang ko to latest version kay ang backup bios, original man nga file.
most mobos have backup utility naman, asus has crash-free where you only have to put the original disc or the bios rom file in a bootable device then turn the computer on (kung dili siguro ang boot block ang na corrupt, idk) and it'll automatically re-flash.
