remember dili ra si Judas ang ni betray ni Jesus, Peter betrayed Christ 3 times, and I think ang sala ni Peter equal ra kang Judas, napasaylo man gani ni Jesus si Peter, si Judas pa kaha, pero mao lagi gyud iya sayop ga suicide man gud siya, kay kung wala siya ga suicide, nindot kaayo iya reputasyon, kay kung wala si JudasÂ* dili ma crucified si Jesus, ang Christianity dili mo spread, and Jesus will only be remembered as just another prophet, thanks to Judas, that now we know that Christ is really God........

actually, in the gospel of judas, it was NEVER mentioned how Judas died. it never even mentioned the CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST. after Judas handed Jesus to be arrested, the gospel suddenly ended there, on the part when Jesus was captured in the garden of Gethsemane. the gospel of Judas which was written in papyrus was only 15% damaged.

now, regarding the issue if Judas was really a traitor or not, it actually mentioned in the gospel of Judas that Jesus actually asked Judas to betray Him. To quote Jesus, "you have to sacrifice the man that clothed me", that's when Jesus was telling Judas about his assignment. because if it werent for Judas, Jesus would have never risen from the dead and the ressurection would have to be remained a fanatical illusion. So i guess that leaves us as to how we individually define the word "traitor". Now i'm tellng these based on the said gospel. because if you read the 4 gospels in the bible, conflicts of the story would arise.

in the film documentary of natgeo, it was told how the early church leaders formed the bible, or chose what gospels that had to be included in the bible, to be particular. there were actually about 30 gospels used in the early teachings. there were even the gospels of Mary Magdalene, Thomas, etc. Now one of the most influential Bishops decided to choose only 4 gospels. 4 gospels to represent the 4 directions of wind, North, South, East and West. for him to be able to choose which of these 30 gospels, he, more or less, surveyed as to which gospels resounded from the people. and that 4 famous gospels were that of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John. and the Bishop rejected the other gospels and ordered it to be destroyed, including the Gospel of Judas.

but then, experst say that the discovery of the Gospel of Judas was never meant to shake the faith of christians, especially the Catholics. you only need to re-assess your faith in God. mao ra na sya. char!

actually, they were able to identify the authenticity(originality) of the papyrus(the kind of paper where the gospel was written). if u have watched the documentary episode of natgeo, they used this machine called Radio Carbon Dating Machine, im not sure if i told it right. and it would be a long explanation as to how the machine work. basta the papyrus was really authentic. na explain na na nila sa natgeo. very complicated kaayo ang explanation nila on how they were able to identify the authenticity using the so called machine. and as to how accurate their translation, wala na koy comment ana. sila na mga experts ang maka sulti ana. hehehe
