i seemed to be disappointed with the way 'may bukas pa' teleserye emphasizes the term 'bro' in reference to God. i dnt knw if these people are Catholic or just playing religious. im not an avid church goer myself but i know its sort of blasphemy to label or even spread the word that God and 'bro' are one of the same. its really not a good practice for young age to just utter any name. its a sign of disrepect. God is God, Jesus, Christ, but not 'bro' which is a kanto word.

As for myself, I believe it promotes a more personal relationship with God which should be the goal of people who practice religion. I don't believe its blasphemy but, like yourself, I'm not an avid church goer as well.

i guess God will be happier if you attend mass at least during sundays than commenting on these small things.

these are not small things for it implicates a lot of things. young children shouldnt be built on the foundation that they can just call God with any name as they pleases. it could be ok to promote more personal relationship, bt suggesting such on national t.v. isnt a gud idea. God deserves the highest of respect and no name, especially 'bro' should be attached to His name.

i firmly believe that the teleserye's aim is far more than that, calling God as "bro". and besides, "bro" is not negatively used in the teleserye. it doesn't foster any disrespect to God. the term "bro" is used in a more friendly manner which means that God is our friend and brother.

using any other name to reference God, be it positive or negative, is still disrespect. u may use it as a secret word, but for it to be broadcast is nt gud. it builds a foundation for youngsters that they can just call the elders to any name of their choosing.
