Philippines - is it good enough to have webservers??

I have friend attempted to have webservers here, but have issues with Internet connections here in the Philippines.

If I think about ISPs here in Philippines. There are some places that have reliable connections, I only think about few. Most, kind of not reliable for a hardworking webserver.

Sorry guys for not mentioning "names" here. heheheheheee

Any thoughts??

if you're goin to talk about webservers being hosted here in the phils, nah, rather lease a server abroad..mas Ok ila mga Data Centers didto.. hehehe i was into hosting for years.. nag rent lng ko server sa gawas.. sa una dedicated server jud, the whole physical nga server imo abangan.. karon naa naman mga VPS.. naka suway na pud ko and Ok man sad.. stability & reliability comes first kng hosting.. Shell hosting to ako-a sa una and host pud sa ako-a mga websites..

in my knowledge lang ha... ang main connection cguro deri sa philippines ni agi sa submarine cable then connect sa pinaka do-ol nga country, singapore or hongkong ba ang pinaka do-ol... ma o nah international link...

then from luzon down to visayas and mindanao labangon gyud ra ba tawn og dagat neh ato mga lugar2x submarine cable nasad..

sa ako lang experience if a-ay downtime.. kasagaran gyud problema fiber break....so possible reason is gi attack sa shark ang cable or na-ay gamay nga linog nga na record..lain mansad ka ayo og na igo sa palabad sa barko.. hehehehe
