I did not mean that Delphi is the best solution for everybody, but IF VB6 will go down the Jordan (and it will), Delphi is an alternative language with similar features.
OT:
I think the guy (softtouch) has mentioned it as an option rather than putting the carriage before the horse. I am also a vb6 programmer since year 2000 connecting different databases such oracle 9i to 11g, mySQL and msAccess, furthermore, I'm still not totally sure if vb6 is really the PL I'll die for. Each of us have different strength in programming and I abundantly respect that.
About the second statement, you penned the word "refer". Does it mean that you don't actually use vb?
