firstly, it is never concluded that judas iscariot himself wrote that gospel. i mean, a lot of gospels have been attributed to many apostles but they themselves did not write it, but their followers did. and secondly, it was written so as to let us know a different side of the story. one coming from the most despised man in history. after reading it, i've come to know judas as a sort of hero, because if it wasn't for him, Jesus the Christ wouldn't have been arrested and crucified. the fact of the matter is that, the Gospel of Judas does exist. it won't go away just by ignoring it. and the vatican is not doing a good job by discrediting it.

-judas's followers betrayed him then? who knows what really happened.. judas.. or the followers.. hehe..

well, the church is good in covering up the *** offenders inside the church (priests and even gay priests)... how much more on this magnitude (which could shake up the foundations of the church, as mentioned in dan brown's novels)? that (gospel of judas and mary magdalene) might be true... the bad thing about this one is that it is the church decides whats true or not... the worst thing is...most people believe what they are told to...
