extreme edition processors hardly (or never) go below the 30K mark in retail prices. if you're not an overclocker, then it would be unreasonable to buy a processor born to be overclocked (if you know what i mean) (well, maybe you don't, so, processors labeled as extreme mean that their multipliers are unlocked, ergo, theoretically, easy overclocking). buy a lower clocked yorkfield instead, shrunk down by 200MHz, a better TDP, and almost half the price.
