Help: Microsoft Product Key Expiration

Hello fellow storyans,

Does anyone knows how microsoft keep track of its product key expiration? I have observed that even if I backtrack the date from the bios, microsoft still detects the correct number of days left of your product key.

i don't think naa expiration ang product keys kung full genuine version imong palit. what you have there i think is you're running windows as a trial version because of an incorrect/fake key.

Ang akong concern mga bro kay buhatan nako ug expiration ang akong demo software gi buhat, ganahan ko ipattern sa microsoft expiration.

Ang demo period is 21 days, maski ug ireset ang bios or system time, padayon ghapon mo increment ang counter sa days.

then i store nimo dd2 ang date w/c is originally cya na install
so dli cya dependent sa system date.

hmm...kung licensed/orig na imong OS, just activate it online, para dili na mogawas ang number of days remaining for activation.

Even if mag.backtrack ka sa imong BIOS date, maka.check gihapon sa expiry?

These data should be written in the registry, it should be encrypted to avoid altering.
1. Date when the OS is installed.
2. SERIAL / Product ID.
3. Flag/Counter

so bisan pa ug mag backtrack ka sa imong date everyday magupdate na sa registery until ma.activate na imong OS.
