Thread: RELIGION

maybe you got the point empress.... but you never mentioned what churches are you referring to.

It depends on the churches and the minister's motives who are running the church.

Now going back to the original topic, what we are discussing ardently in this thread is about the TRADITION from those people. They said that since it's already their TRADITION, they dont have to change it or get out from their comfort zone even they knew that some of those practices are wrong and are not in the BIBLE BUT then they still keep on continuing to do those things. KAY TRADITION man lagi! Cant we just open our eyes and see and follow what's in the BIBLE. What is really in the bible are true and correct and walay BOOK nga mo tupong ana sa BIBLE!

Now to those people who are questioning the BIBLE, I think you're into a wrong topic here since we are discussing on PEOPLE's wrong BELIEFS and TRADITIONS! I hope people would understand that one. Plain and simple! Why do you have to do those things which are not in the Bible? BECAUSE OF TRADITION? I DONT THINK SO!

"Tradition" can refer to ways of service and fellowshipping but if they contradict what is taught in the documents, then they are dangerous as they can be tantamount to heresy, even God knew that the documents will eventually be compiled into a book divided into Two Testaments (Rev. 11, Zec. 4: 14 ) because the Book is anointed (1 Jn 2: 27, 2 Pet. 1: 19, 1 Pet. 3: 15, 16 )

And God says the Book or the Scroll is all sufficient and nothing is lacking (Is. 34: 16 )

Refering only to the last book? are you sure? God knew a Book containing all scriptures would exist (Isaiah. 34: 16 NAB)
He also knew the Church would exist to teach His people, but you conveniently forget that.

You're engaging in another personal interpretation. I asked you for a verse that EXPLICITLY stated that the Bible was the SOLE source of Chrsitian teaching. Cerainly such a verse should exist if you are right. But you have failed to produce even a single verse.

The truth is that there is NO SUCH VERSE. The idea of relying on the Bible ALONE (aka, the principle of "Sola Scriptura", or "scripture alone") is itself UNSCRIPTURAL.

Yes, the primitive church the RCC should try a little more modesty that they didn't even exist fully in the first 2 centuries of Christianity, but when they did, they corrupted the teachings of the early church and even attempted to hold back the Good News...... but it came out anyway so the best they could to today is just pick verses at random during mass or have retarded guides like didache or the weekly missal to misdirect people from verses that rebuke their man-made traditions. Traditions so different from the ones in the primitive church.

He said the church is the expression of truth (Eph. 3: 10 ) and the truth is only found in the documents (Jn 17: 17, Is. 8: 20, Ps. 119: 160 ), and you forget that the church is NOTHING and will NOT see the light of dawn if they don't live according to the documents (Is. 8: 20 ) but instead of man-made mysticism that they deceive people into the notion that Christ or Peter or whoever authored some of those esoteric rituals...

And as stated in Zec. 4: 14 and Rev. 11, God knew that the documents will be compiled, divided into two testimonies and be the only two most reliable and infallble prophets and teachers (1 Jn 2: 27, Ps. 119: 130 ) God knew the falling away of Christianity would come and Rome would devour and corrupt the whole of the earth (Dan 7: 23 )

You can do that...... as there are some institutions with so much arrogance and self righteousness they don't even live by the entirety of God's teachings but by polluting themselves with idols, graven images, heathen beads and candles....

Nah, maybe everything that's in the bible is true...but i don't believe that we can find everything in it...the world is such a very mysterious and a very big place to be put all in the bible...

But it's all sufficient for living in righteousness, rebuking error and training in wisdom....

is Stephen Covey a heretic just because he's NOT a New Testament writer? And because the 7 Habits of Effective People isn't part of the canon?? No, he isn't.

But is Ben Garcia or Steve K. Ray one? YES because they distort the Scriptures.

Maybe...but still it doesn't have the answers to all the unanswered things in this world. Sometimes we can find the better answers in ourselves and in others. I think we should not base all the things we do in something that is very limited and is already closed.
