We've been using Microsoft since the 80s and the world developed tremendously because of Microsoft. What Bill Gates and his business transactions did or do, is his own. I don't think that we have to associate any type of devilish ideas to this because there is no reason to end once advancement. What will happen if there is no Microsoft? What will happen if there is no Bill Gates? Sure his very very rich but that's what business is all about... PROFIT.

Sadly, some people will try to topple other businesses for any kind of disorientations - in the end, it's just one man's problem over the richest guy in the planet.
