BRIDGES to Connect Cebu, Bohol, and Negros!

Enough of the Bad News.....


Bridges will soon connect Bohol to Cebu and Cebu to Negros..... If the Iloi-ilo governor would cooperate, a bridge will also link Ilo-ilo and Negros via Guimaras! Now the Visayas is connected to each other!

The type of bridge that might connect Bohol to Cebu would be a causeway-tunnel type similar to the one the slices up Tokyo Bay in Japan, or the one also connecting Sweden and Finland...... The type of bridge that will connect Cebu and Negros will definitely be a Suspension type since Tanon straight is not that wide enough at the South....

There are lots of dilapidated roads and school buildings in Negros and Bohol.... Surely these bridges will help these provinces in some way or another... It will surely spur economic development.... Imagine, the Mactan-International Airport is just a drive away for these provinces.... And so are the malls, the export processing zones, etc.... Investors (both local and foreign) will go to these provinces.....

That's actually the same question asked when the plan for the second Mactan bridge was still drawn up..... The proponent of this project is the RDC-7 and not Gwen or whoever... Murag i tap nila ang JICA kay intersted man sad sila mu pursue sa project...

I doubt it....pusta-anay pa ta o? 2007, 2008, 2009 pa dili ni mahitabo. Besides, funds for this project should be placed towards ground development. Daghan pa kaayong bati nga karsada sa Cebu mismo. Fix that one first before doing ambitious projects as mentioned.

The cost at this point definitely outweighs the benefits.
