I don't know of any sure hit fix on 3RL here in Cebu. I'm not really sure of the actual number of incidence regarding 3RL on newer falcon edition (IMO, it is still possible to get it in the new ones though.). Nwy, even a good pinoyxbox repair guy in Manila was only able to keep my 360 alive for a month after it went down after 6 months upon purchase (I have the original/older version btw.).

I'm not against buying 360 as you can see I even own one. However, here in Cebu (in the Phils to be more precise), we don't benefit from Microsoft support and extended warranty. It is hard to own one unless a definite fix is available and a low risk machine is produced. I actually called up itech i think around a week or so ago and asked them if they accept repairs for 360 already but sad to say they don't (or stopped).

If you want to go with next gen, I suggest going with PS3 or even Wii (not next gen graphics but next gen gameplay i think).

well, the older model of xbox 360 is really prone to the rrod . but the new models which has the falcon chips according to some sources is not that prone to the rrod.according to some friends of mine they have sold new xbox 360 models since oct last year so far no reports of rrod. so, to test that fact. i bought one xbox 360 that has a falcon/hdmi. so far, i'm playing it for quite some long hours (6 pm up to 1 am) for the last 3 days. i even tried putting it in the shop as a tester for almost 3 weeks.in my observation, i doesn't generate that much heat unlike the first gen of xbox 360. in my opinion, it your choice to buy it or not. and it really depends on the user as well.

Nice info sir. I guess there is low risk of having 3RL on the newer machines. However, I think that when buying consoles (especially 360 or even the PS3) it is best to look for those who give out the best warranty. Heheh. Sir, can you guarantee the new 360 for like months? How long po ba ang warranty ng 360 that you're selling? More than 1 month is definitely best especially with this console. ^_^

if u want to prevent rrod do get a x360 cooler. ive seen some in SM., try putting it in a cool place also and enough air to breathe. the best form of prolonging life is prevention

Coolers don't do much for the 360 (especially in older). It's proper use + falcon edition = longer life.
