i believe you need to. donwload the cpu drivers, dual -core optimizer and amd power manager. also if nahan ka ug utility to monitor both your core temps, try to download amd overdrive, get the earlier version kay the latest only supports the 7 series chipsets. once you have installed your cpu drivers, set power scheme to minimal power management from amd power manager. after doing all this, check sa cpu z or even power manager if ni underclock ba imu cpu. if it will then you did it right.Originally Posted by grss1982
this should lower your temps 3-4 more degrees. and hopefully, when your arctic silver "sets" mas muubos pa gyud imu temps. curious lan ko, when you said you used a "dose" of arctic silver, how much did you mean by that? basin na sobraan nmu ug apply.
Did not apply it yet. I'm actually thinking of buying the Jetart thermal compounds sold at CD-R king:Originally Posted by juan_carlos
Also planning to buy a 70mm to 120mm converter from CD-R king.
Plus I'll apply the software you suggested, lets see if I can let those temps go down.
usually included na na cya sa bundled AMD drivers sa imong mobo. also, dli mu work ang C&C if enabled ang windows power saving option (properties -> screensaver ->power -> disable everything, pde ra monitor enabled). i just turn the stock AMD fan to its lowest settings kay banha gyud siya kaayo..with C&C dli ra man cya mu-initOriginally Posted by grss1982

Actually I just bought two 80mm/70mm/60mm to 120mm fan adapters (FA) from CD-R King.
Gonna use one FA to mount a 120mm fan on my side panel, which only has an 80mm hole. It will be blowing in air towards the CPU-RAM Area.
The other FA I'm gonna use on the stock AMD heatsink. I'll pair this one though with one of those 120mm Silverstone fans that's been sold in the Buy and Sell section.
PLUS I'll be buying that Jetart Thermal paste that CD-R King sells. I actually went to SM last nyt and it seems there out of stock.
Let you know when I'm done.
bro..i have a 120mm fan intake and 2 80mm fans as exhaustin the rig i have now... PSU has dual fans and all cables are neatly tuck and wrapped together para better air circulation.i am using stock cooler....the rig is slightly OC at 2435MHz, vid @ 1.3v.Am using ECS AMD690GM-M2 mobo...core#1 shows 16C and core#2 shows 13C.hope this help....
OK. Someone told me to use core temp in monitoring the temps AND.................... What the ****!!!
Why are there two temps of two cores with the "Core Temp" and just one temp on the MSI Utility Also take note what appears on the MSI utility is also the same temp that appears in the bios.
BTW, which one should I be inclined to believe, Core Temp or the MSI Utility?
