    Default VPN Configuration

    Hello bro,

I am still needed your expertise on this configuration of VPN. I have already the following requirements needed to configure it.

    1. DSL connection with one static IP address-- complete!
    2. Dlink switch-- complete!
    3. LinkSys VPN router-- complete!

Now, our current setup is like this:

    1. ISP --> PLDT modem --> Dlink switch --> fifteen computers in the local network
    2. All the computers are in one static IP address because when I test it individually by getting to www.whatismyip.com, they get one static IP address.
    3. All the computers are set to Obtain an IP address automatically this for dynamic address.

Can you please give me a step by step instructions on how to configure this to VPN, note also that the PLDT modem address is 192.168.1.1 and based on the manual of my LinksysVPN router the address is 192.168.1.1 inorder to get to setup. So both have the same address device.

Model of the switch is Dlink 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch 16 port.
Model of the Linksys VPN router is BEFSX41

    Thanks in advance.

That is the main purpose of the VPN is to get files from the working office from home.
I think it would not needed anymore nga naay VPN router sa pikas branch. The more important is the ang office maoy naay VPN router then ang kadtong naa sa balay mao ra to ang client nga mosulod sa VPN server nga na assign ug static IP address.

This is what I am talking about:

The server is assigned by a static IP address and creates USER to communicate with the VPN client.
    http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/xp_vpn_server.htm

Now the client will dial the USER that is created by that machine which is the VPN server.

I am testing this but it does not work since the PLDT configured our internet connection as one static IP address. When I browse www.whatismyisp.com in every PC here in the office, it gives me the same static IP address that PLDT assign to us.

    Bro got your point.

May I ask kung unsa imo VPN Router Model niya? What you want can be done with the correct VPN Router Model. Does your router support PPTP Server or VPN Client Access?

Try Linksys RV042 Router kana pwede na sya, mao na taud sa imo opis, then create your user account dha ana nga router. After that you can dial from your home the Static IP Address given by PLDT, then your router will set your IP Address in connection sa Network sa inyo Office, so basically murag naa ra ka sa office, slower lang gamay but you can access almost everything sa network nimo with the corresponding user right access. Hope this helps.
