Bro, since you like BDO, i think what you want is UITF and not MF.
in MF, it's not necessary to add every month, it's not an obligation. but if you want to have a better return, adding every month or we call it cost averaging strategy will help you aside that it develops also your habit of saving.
in MF, there is a a withholding period, some is 6 moths while others is 2 yrs. It's not advisable to invest in MF if your gol is for short term only. stock market is very volatile, it may go up this week and down the next week.

any investment, business and the like, naa jud na siya risk and please, ayaw kaayo expect dako og gains sa MF and UITF the same as pautang. if pautang ninyo ky 5-20% per month, dako na kaayo na compared to these investments pero imong risk ky 100% pud hinuon.

    1. BDO
    - UITF ni siya
    - 10k ang minimum so maka-open na ka

    2. di required but much better; please bear in mind nga fluctuating ni siya unlike sa pautang nga ga expect ka money in/gains every month. mas maayo ni siya nga i-long term or mo ride ka sa market. like if ang trend paubos na, secure your gains daan.

    3. naa ta'y gitawag nga holding period and ideally, di nimo kuhaon before the holding period but it is allowed ra but mobayad ka certain percentage sa imong gi-sud nga kwarta.

if BDO Equity Fund, 1% ni siya. dako2x sad ni especially when the increase of navpu ky gradual ra or niubos pa jud kaysa pag-sud nimo.
    1% of 10,000 is 100.
    usahay, ma negative pa ka.

try browse aning link sa BDO https://www.bdo.com.ph/personal/inve...et-asset-value
and suwayi ang ilang yield calculator pra ma appreciate nimo. https://www.bdo.com.ph/trust-investm...eld-calculator

Thanks sa input. Naa jud risk bisan unsa nga business. Lets say BDO equity ako kuhaon, ok ra ko modugang rasad everymonth on top sa 10k?? I am looking for at least 6 months or up nga savings ani.win or lose.i am not expecting higher returns coz kani ready ko sa mahitabo but of course i hope for positive gains pero at the same realistic sad ko.Now you think is it good to invest at this month? Or lets say today??duol ra ko sa bdo and bpi..tia boss

matod nila it's good for long term and there's no "right or wrong" time sa pag-invest ani ky investing mani siya and not trading.
I don't know how long is long, mag depende nani nimo and sa dagan sa market.

ang BDO UITF ky di pwede i-top up, separate certificates jud siya. you can do it monthly or as you wish.
10k this month, another 10k next month, 15k the week after next and so on. basta minimum sa regular BDO UITF ky 10k.

  5. #325
ingon ana pud ang sa uban UITF bro, bale tag 10k minimum ang additional? years ago before ko open MF, that's what the BDO told me, 10k ang minimum.
that's the reason pud wala ko ni continue sa UITF and nag MF na lang ko. murag dugay pa usa ko ka save ug another 10k.

naay program ang BDO nga 1k a month pero I don't know how really works. (if ayha paba siya ma invested as regular UITF if niabot na og 10k and if regular savings paba iyang interests while wa pa naabot sa minimum amount for UITF?).

    auto-debit nmn to sa salary.
arang2 ang BDO ky 10k, ang UB ky 100k.

What BDO offers is not mutual funds, UITFs ang tawag anang sa ilaha.
However, mutual funds and UITFs generally work the same way. Both invests either in stocks, fixed income securities (bonds, bills, notes, etc.) or a combination of both. Ang difference nila will come from their corporate structures, regulating bodies, etc. which, in my opinion, is not that significant compared sa imong reason sa pag invest.

    2) kinahanglan ba mag dugang ko every month until sa duration sa holding period?
Not really but it is advisable para mas paspas ug mas dako ang tubo sa imong kwarta in the long run.
You can even make MFs or UITFs like a piggy bank.

    3) pwede ba ani nga style, invest then following week mi gain na, ako kuhaon ang kwrta?
A big NO. MFs and UITFs are long term financial tools so dapat tagaan gyud nimo ug time para modako imong gains.
Technically, you can redeem any time but it defeats the purpose of investing and it won't make MFs and UITFs serve its purpose.
Aside from that, be aware that MFs and UITFs are prone to volatility, labi na ang equity funds. There will be times nga moubos ang value sa imong investments.
If you invest in MFs and UITFs, have a long term outlook. By long term, maybe at least 5 years but the longer, the better.
