... I do not agree with Archbishop Palma, nor I am fond of him.

Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma encouraged couples who want to have more children to do so, even with the recent passage of the Reproductive Health (RH) Law.
“Bisan pa ug giaprobahan ang RH Bill, kadtung gusting manganak dili lamang usa, dili lamang duha pero tulo o upat, musalig lang kita kay Lord (Even with the passage of the RH Law, those who want to have children, not just one, not two but three or four, should put their trust in the Lord),” he added.
He said he was glad that the Philippines remains to be family oriented, even though some countries are promoting a one-child policy.
At face value, I don't think there's anything wrong with his statement. But...

If I would call him out for anything, it's downplaying some kind of conspiracy hatched by the Phil government to consciously discourage Filipinos from having children through the introduction of the RH bill, which is just not true.

The RH bill was introduced (specifically for women) to combat unwanted pregnancies. That's it. Plain and simple. If you want to get pregnant, the RH bill won't stop you.

Then he goes on to mention other countries who have had the 1-child-policy in place. Umm... hello? Where the hell did that come from? From the RH bill to a 1-child-per-couple policy? No relation whatsoever --- unless he's sold to the notion that it's next in our govt's agenda.

No. He was attacking the concept of the RH Bill which aims to educate the less informed.

If what you are claiming is true and he only really meant "sa kadtong gusto" lang, isn't that just saying the obvious

    Aw. Ok... Sorry nah....Â*

To Palma: Thank you, Captain Obvious!!!!

Ok. I may retract my statement about the less informed.
    Misinformed lang!
    OT lang:Â*
Â*Almost 16 years of blissful marriage and 1 natural plus 2 C-section births later I can personally say that I still want more kids if only my doctor didn't tell me that my uterus was already too thin. Â*The natural method works! I can say that we did it without any form of contraception. It's just a matter of self-control as far as my poor human capacity is concerned.Â*
My aunt-in-law has fourteen children. 14 less one or two that died young. Â* She and her husband were both "carenderia cooks" and yet they managed to have all of their kids finish school. Imagine that! Â*
The Church has always proclaimed the use of contraception as a sin bec. it is contrary to conjugal love shared by married couples. Can one spouse say to another that he/ she has TOTALLY given himself/herself to each other if either refuse to have children? Is safe *** really safe? Who are we kidding?Â*

Â*I pray that all of those who are pro-RH will be enlightened that quick solutions are not answers to lifelong problems. I once chanced upon an article about women being relieved by the passing of the law. Then ended with the sentence, "Now they're still trying to think about how to implement it." Toinks! Butangi.
People can be idealistic but not all that's legal is moral. Â*Also, this contraception thing means big bucks. Â*For whom I leave that to you.

A good friend of mine has been using IUD for several years bec. she already has 4 kids. Â*She's just my age but right now she's skin and bone and struggling from kidney failure. Â*I'm not one to judge anybody but people rarely think about the devastating effects of sin. Yes majority of women would feel at ease, relieved about it for days, weeks, months or even years. Â*NAY AT FIRST. Â*But sin has a very "peculiar"way of getting back at us. Â*And only in those moments of denial, of pain and agony that we realize that we were very wrong.

Gullible? Definitely not. Â*Maybe docile and unperturbed.
May God bless all of us.Â*

Kani na nasud known ni siya sa population control, gani karon nag invite sila more on foreigners to work for their country kay dili kasarang ang ilang nasud in terms sa manpower.
yes, u r korek. but u cant say im wrong! look around...

    Yes bro,
the bishop emphasized "who want to have"
meaning it's up to the one who listens, either
he wanted it or not in terms of personal reasons.
There is no instigation or coersion involved.

Don't be too affected by the mockery thing,
they can always try, but we are the one's who will
give credit and give substance, just ignore it,
the church survive for 2 millenium already because
how firm they are who follow it before. We should
    do the same shall we.
Our great manifestation, the recently concluded
    Fiesta of Senior Santo Nino.

    Everyone had it's own detractors,
    but we are stronger.

Hehehe... Yet another concrete example of reactive. The ties on your shoes have untied themselves. Or the cosmos will be shattered by a bomb. Believe everything and yet as you either look up or down, you realize that you haven't looked inside you. And these are just euphemisms for your blunder. Peace!
