Last month, i was able to talk to a foreigner who has a filipino wife, they resides here in cebu. We talk about investment. He mention that he would like to create a book for filipinos that will educate us about finance particularly on the area of investment, but he notice that filipinos have no fun of reading books unless they are told to do so especially in schools, we have no personal motivates to get a book and read.
Lately, I am watching The Apprentice (
https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=125917.0), a very good reality show in the US that teaches people about people management indirectly and also gives the overview of what is the life of the "Rich and Famous". I just wonder if we continues to watch telenovela like "Bakekang", what education would it provide to us, this telenovela speaks the reality of who we are, we love to see a main character who is underdog coz it reflects the true status of our country that filipino are underdogs, we are "slaves", how bad would that be the future of our country if most filipinos have no time to educate ourselves with financial education, how terrible would be our country.
