Difference in performance between PCIe 2.0 vs PCIe 3.0 on a single GPU setup

I just did a quick research between PCIe 2.0 vs PCIe 3.0 performance using a single card setup.

So I guess the PCIe 3.0 technology really wont affect the performance on a single card setup then.

yup! close to none jud ang difference sa pcie 3.0 and pcie 2.0 when it comes to gaming.

I think pcie 3.0 shines on gpu compute applications like media espresso 6.5 as seen below.

gaming benchmarks = not really close to none... it can be considered NO DIFFERENCE hehehe... 0.09 FPS is nothing LOL!

Let's just hope Ivy Bridge is faster and cooler than Sandy Bridge at the same clock speed, or else upgrades won't happen hehe. Unless you are building a new system.

I have just assembled my Z68 rig last october 2011 and for me I welcome this as a good news. Less heartache then, and an extra year or two (i hope) to save for future upgrades. lol.
