How to train a dog?

In training a dog, it should be associated with something like food.....so if you want your dog to obey your commands take this as an example: say the word "SIT"+ let your dog force to sit+ associate with a food..........Repeat this until the dog gets used to the command.....
This is what we called association theory......

actually bro positive reinforcement is different. Association theory is more of stimulus and response theory....mo associate ang response sa mga stimulus...the example I mentioned has two types of stimulus..... the conditioned and the unconditioned stimulus....eventually when you say the word SIT, the dog will sit down (as the response) due to the unconditioned stimulus which is the word "SIT" even if there is no food given to the dog, the dog will sit because the conditioned stimulus(food) is already associated with the word "SIT" mao na bsag wlay pagkaon ihatag onya moingun ug SIT molingkod ang iro kay naka "ASSOCIATE" man ang FOOD ug SIT.....mao na gipanganlan ug association theory...
On the other hand, positive reinforcement is basically increasing a behavior due to a reward.....example kung pugson nmu ang iro mo lingkod then hatagan nmu cya ug reward like food..... onya balik2kon nmu...ang result ang iro mgcge ug lingkod kay nghuwat sa imu reward....mao na positive reinforcement.....sama rana sa studyante nga mcge ug toon kay kung dako kuha sa test naay reward madawat sa parents......so ni increase ang behavior sa pgtoon tungod sa reward.... another example sa association theory ang pagkaton spelling ug word kato bata pata...ang teacher mogamit ani.....the teacher pronounces the word APPLE then writes it on the board.....when the teacher says apple the student associated the letters on the board A-P-P-L-E from the sound of the word APPLE....bisag moingun ang teacher APPLE onya wla niya gsuwat, moassociate na sa mind ang spelling sa apple ug pronunciation sa word APPLE.......
That's the difference between positive reinforcement and association theory.......
